Jafran (जाफरान) Jafran (जफरान) is a gotra of Jats.[1] is a Jat gotra found in Karnal district of Haryana.
History
Jat clan Namesake
- Zafar is an ancient Himyarite site situated in Yemen. Pliny has mentioned it as Sapphar.[2] Its ruins are now known as Dhafar. It was one of the chief cities of Arabia, standing near the southern coast of Arabia Felix.
