Bawa

Bawa (बावा) is Sikh Jatt clan mainly found in northern part of India. It is also sometimes used as a title by direct descendants of second Sikh Guru.

Notable persons

• Inderbal Singh Bawa (Col) (25.05.1947 - 13.10.1987), (Mahavir Chakra), became martyr on 13.10.1987 during Operation Pawan in Srilanka. He was from Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh. Unit: Unit: 4/5 Gorkha Rifles.
