Kurukshetra, 0100 AM, Sunday, 23 july, 2006


A unique 'Mahayudh' is being fought on the holy land of Kurukshetra right now.

One side is led by some extemly adverse conditions, a sixty feet deep and narrow bore hole in the ground, A young child of 5 years traped there for the last 30 plus hours, no way physical help can reach to the child to get him lifted from the narrow hole, complete dark inside, time is runnuning out...

Ohter side is led by the will to survive and courage of five year boy 'Prince' who fell in the bore while playing, Parents supported by the the entire population of the surrounding area, distict administration, Army unit engaged in digging a tunnel from an adjoing abandon well, tv and other media crew monitoring the operation live, thousands praying at the spot and else where in the country.

A cc tv camera has been installed to monitor the condition of the boy. The heartening news is that the boy is in his full senses and responding to the call of his father and rescuers. He has been fed with some food, water and milk.
The tunnel is about to reach to the spot where the child is sitting right now

Let us all pray for the speedy recovery of the Prince of the "Holy city'.

I am moved by the gesture being shown by the people of all the communities. Through out the night people are praying for the safety of the child.

Mujhe puran vishwash hai ki Prince ki dhreed ichha sakti, hazaron logon ki duayen, aur hamare jawano ki mehanat jarur safal hogi.

May God bless the little Prince!

A unique situation this but has been handled well by people.A precious life has been shaved by timely efforts by District administration and Army...Media though hyper as usual too deserve a pat on the back.Long live the little Prince.
 
Rescue contd...

A rescue team, consisting 9 specialist rescuers, has been dispatched from Bombay fire departrment by a special airforce flight at 11 am IST to Kurukshetra. This team did an extremely good work in Gujrat earthquake.

Army is doing a great job and the community is showing the unity and praying for the life of "Prince".

May god bless "Prince" and I am sure he will be saved successfully.

Really its a nice thing that everyone is praying for him. I wish he will come out from this trap. Good support by administration and army.

Man(mental) ki shakti ashim hai. Sayadh ye abodh bachon mein aur bhi jyada hoti hai. or you can call it survival instinct which is always greater in young children. This has been proved time and again.
Mental toughness and resiliency of young prince, discipline and preservance of Army personnel and rarely found human gesture of local administration, added with prayers of the millions of people around the world have bore the fruit.

Sabhi badhai ke pater hein! Ish kripa nanhe prince per bani rahe!

Lessons

Dear

Hope our administration has learnt some lessons from this episode. The civil (fire dept) authorities need to be equipped with the suitable tools to carry out these kinds of operations.

Indians have never learned any lesson from history. This case is no different...Any such next case will be dealt with by people as per their instinct on the spot...Just to remind you;

1. Have we learned any lessons from Mumbai floods?
2. Have we learned any lessons from power failures in last 50 years?
3. Have we learned any lessons from infighting?

It would be the greatest wonder of God's Kingdom if Indians can learn from their mistakes...

Dear All,

I watched the rescue efforts almost non stop (though there is a power cut of about 12 hours daily in Meerut). I was very happy to see the child rescued like the rest of the country.

However, there was complete chaos at that particular site. Though it was commendable for the local MP and the CM visiting the village, the whole thing could have been done in a much more professional manner. There were few ladies on the site who were extra enthusiastic. May be they wanted to catch the eye of the CM or Sonia Gandhi!! Pathetic.

It would have been a good gesture had a Soldier carried the rescued child to his mother instead of the Lt Gen. I also noticed that the mother was praying inside the Gurudwara. I only hope people entered the Gurudwara after removing their shoes!

There is a cartoon in the Hindu today. It shows a family watching the rescue attempt on the TV, A small girl child servant (almost the same age as Prince) is serving them tea.

As a society we still have a long way to go. Thank God that TV people reached this village, created "NEWS' and the child was rescued, otherwse there are lakhs of Princes who are leading a life of a bonded labour.

I think reality TV is getting stronger in India. Media has done the phenomenal job for litte poor fellow. It shows that things are improving and human index in India will improve

Is not it waste? Do not they have any thing better to do. Lt. Gen... Sure big achievment bn him. Heared CM gave 2Lakh to the kids family. Rescue and medical treatment is fine, but what this 2 lakh for. To encirage these parents to let him loose again so that he can fall again?

Govt. has done this shameful act of giving him such amount for doing nthin but helping in saving his own life, this means that deed done by him is equal to indian soldiers who died fighting for pride of country.
Aur mere khayal te to uska naam thaa 'kallu' ib media alla ne nyu sochi tv pe kallu kyukar bolya, to uunhee naam prince dharr diya:p :p :p .
even media is reacting too much, jst for TRPs, what does a post accident interview means wid bollywood stars???
my salute to so called 'zindagi ka raj-kumar':eek:
