Sunpat ke Minerva Cinema hall mein picture laag rhi thi 'CHOR MACHAYE SHOR'. Hum Physics ki class te painda chhuta ke 12 te 3 ka show dekhan laag re thay.. Jinn ne ya picture dekh rakhi se un ke yaad hoga ki Danny apni hateli kujjaa si ke gut maare se...

Bhai ek JAT ka chora itnaa excite ho gya ak uss ne ek punjabi ke k maara ek gut.. jab vo punjabi ka bolya "bahi saheb mujko kyon marte ho", te vo Chhora bolya "Saale, swad mein maar gya"... Te bhai isse isse hon se Rohtak District ke..

PS: I still consider Jhajjar, Sunpat area as part of Rohtak.

Eib Bhai ek kissa yaad aa-gya. Ham kayi dost "Roti kapada aur makaan" film dekhann gaye the : raat ke 9 baje wale show mein - Rohtak ke Sheela cinema mey. Un dino woh cinema ekdam zangal mein (khettaan ke beech mein) tha - sirf main road saamne tha - aur raat ko udhar jaate darr lagta tha.

Ticket le-key gate ke aagey ghanne-e baalak khadde ho-ge line mey. Pahla show khatam nahin huya tha. Ek-ke-paache-ek khadde ho-key sarreyan ney darwazze pey maarya zor ka dhakka aar naara lagaya : Bol baba shriyanaath ki - Jai. Aur darwazza toot key bheetar padd-gya!

Pher Unn Sheela cinema walon ney 2-3 mustande, khandwwe-aale jaat bharti karye - gate control karann tahein. Weh poori laathi raakhya karte aur jo-bi isi harkat karta, soodha lathh marya karte ! Pher halaat kaboo mein aaye, saarey oot chohre soodhe ho-ge.

While finalising the page about Haryana's History (Veerbhoomi Haryana), at Jatland Wiki, it reminded me about this old thread.

If we believe Jat scholar Late Swami Omanand (the author of "Veerbhoomi Haryana"), Rohtak city could be about 22-lakhs year old !

Human memory is short and history is buried deep into earth. Not just Rohtak, many other towns of Haryana are lakhs of years old !
