This happened today, infact a few minutes back.
A thread had been murdered - yes !
A thread titled "Is Barack Obama a Jat?" has been killed by someone
I have heard about threads being closed, posts being removed, members being banned etc but is this something new to just remove a thread all together ? If this is some new policy then do tell us about it, and please do tell us the exact CRITERIA !

I think this is the first incident in my knowledge when a thread has been deleted calling it 'Not Relevant' when so many not relevant things are going on and out without even being pointed out. Or has it happened before too?
Sad is not the deletion part, what pains is the uneven practices being adopted at various places ....

Ur pots really confuse me what way u r talking coz u write something and then append few smileys in the end which just change the mean of the whole sentence. So, kindly be specific and make best use of smileys wherever required(only).

So guys please don't create an issue of it, stop it here. The fun should have some limitations, we must not create this type of silly arguments. Everybody knows that Barak Obama is not a Jat but still people are willing to discuss these type of stupid topics. Even some have achieved the extremity of stupidity, the relevant thread is an example of it.
( There are a too many ways to kill the time, but we should avoid these non sense talks at Jat History section. )
P.S. -I don't want to be reciprocal to anybody as everyone has the right to express his opinion. This is my personal opinion.

Now you may question whats the parameter to define absurdity here on JL then I guess mods have been doing a fairly good job with it already...and also if its glaringly absurd ..it is absurd! Period!

Most of us complain about non activeness of moderators every now and then and when we ourselves are at the recieving end we complain about their over activeness. Doesn't it seems unfair ?

I can understand that you might be feeling offended but the solution doesn't lie in your regrets and complains but lies in the fact that how your point of views should reach to the readers.
If you think that those posts were so valuabe then please take some pain to gather your thoughts again, sum up the content of those deleted posts and post it again. I hope, after such a hallagulla, people would like to read those important posts of yours with due interest.
On the other hand, if you posted those posts just for killing some time then just assume that you killed your precious time and then someone else removed the traces of the murder committed by you. It is totally a justified cleaning process and you should thankful to the person who took pain to clean the garbage.
When so many people are on hunt, sometimes hunters become hunted.
Let's move ahead for the good !
Just for fun : Discussion on Obama being a Jat or not seems like killing your time so brutly that you are going to tear apart your time so mercilessly in countless pieces. I can imagine how much hard works mods had done while collecting and removing every piece scattered here and there.

Issue here is not "why that thread". Issue is if this is a new policy then this would have been mentioned at some 'conspicuous' place so that we members would have known that such is a policy and closure of that thread was a part of it.
We all have in our knowledge that such threads are closed by putting a lock so that no further replies are possible, but the thread can be viewed. Our contention was regarding an even application of rules & regulations and in case some new rule emerges, members must be well informed.
