I understand the feelings (proposed action!) behind the "युवराज महाराज नहीं " thing and probably it is the right thing to do to get the reservation But what is the 'course of action' behind the poster tilted "जाट आरक्षण नहीं तो खेल नहीं .... जाट खेल 2010" ?? Disrupting commonwealth games?? Can you please elaborate the 'feelings' behind these posters??

Topper was a jaat girl in SS with around 122 marks out of 200 in general category not in OBC catogery I think surname was mahalwal which belongs to delhi but even thoguh she applied in general catogrey & topped.

Yudhvir, i suspect you don't know how merit lists are prepared!! As far as i know (repeated this many many times on JL) this is how it goes:
Out of 100 seats: 50 open (or General) category seats go to Top 50 candidates in composite (or main) list, it does not matter who are these 50 candidates. general or OBC or SC/ST; Then top 27 Candidates who
have applied under OBC fill next 27 seats and so on!!

Ticking Box: If someone applies under OBC category, he/she will be automatically considered for General category!! Only if an OBC opted for general category, he/she will be excluded from reservation!! General category is GENERAL in real sense.. for all... all included!!

So, General candidate: fight for top 50 rank. only for 50 seats.
OBC: fight for 50 (Open seat) + 27 (whatever be the OBC reservation %age).
Reservation will NOT be 73 (or 77%)!! But theoretically out of 100, 73 or 77 (with OBC Reservation ) can be JATs... (as opposed to only 50 without reservation). I hope it is clear!!

P.S. In some states and certain jobs there is another glitch (also some ambiguity) to this reserved-seat-distribution but that is a moot point here.

Compare this with 'hordes' of frustrated youth attempting for small 'jobs' (heard some 2-3 lakhs applicant for delhi police constable jobs (only thousand or so this time.. physicals are going on these days)

exactly the point these jaichands of JATland are missing. let the needy JAT's take the benefits of reservation. a well-off/educated/capable JAT does not need any sort of reservation... और अगर वो लेता है तो उस से बड़ा कमीन कोई नहीं. Let’s talk about Blue part; I agree that I don't have anything in black and white to conclude that. However, do you have source from where you learned that 50% seats go to composite merit list. I highly suspect your claim. If this is the case, General Category candidates won't even get 25% of jobs.
As I said earlier, we don't need to speculate. Come up with facts and figures and then analyse the situation. We don't know how many govt jobs are in basket Vs Pvt Jobs. We have no idea and we are still demanding it... I tried for PMT in 1998 and there was nothing called composite list. There is a separate cut-off for each category. You may find some posts recently on this thread to confirm the number

Rahi baat Property dealers ki aur un-employment ki, India has much higher per capita income than UP, Rajsthan, Punjab. I am sure we are doing something correct. I have visited couple of villages in October; you can find easily 20-30 guys doing engineering from each village. People are spending like anything on the education of their children. These are very positive trends and we can't afford to derail this movement by showing them some crazy dream of govt jobs through reservation. Agar 100% reservation bhi mil jaa Jaton ko toh bhi Unemployment khatam nahin hogi..

Only way to have a bright future for our younger generations paved through pvt sector jobs. I can assure you, Haryana will be the ideal example of Jat prosperity in coming years.

Do you have some link to prove that Haryana's jat population is twice of Rajasthan. Please don't comment without facts and figures. We can't speculate on these type of matters. I asked couple of members here to come up with exact jat population per state and % population, Literacy rates etc.. I never heard anything from anybody.

I suggest everybody to refrain from making any speculation to support his/her point of view.

in haryana jat population(desity) is more then rajasthan...for sure.. i think its a well known/estimated fact and does not required any more efforts to ask other..

I got a Govt job in General category , salery around 42000 (considered handsome in govt sect) & I am proud of it..it took around 3/4 years for that but I am happy & I am leaving this job soon..bcoz I don't want to waste my life in Govt sect. I want to do something which can generate Employment for 1000's of people..not just my comfort.

I got a Govt job in General category , salery around 42000 (considered handsome in govt sect) & I am proud of it..it took around 3/4 years for that but I am happy & I am leaving this job soon..bcoz I don't want to waste my life in Govt sect. I want to do something which can generate Employment for 1000's of people..not just my comfort.
Social Strength ki baat wohi log samajh sakta hai jo samajhna chaahte ho..jab man me kuchh aur aur muh par kuchh aur ho to usse kisi ka bhala nahi hota

well known...pvt sectors me job jyada hai..(do't argue over it)..include all small & big companies..

Being in General Category I get lot of respect here
And I have observed many intelligent officers here from reserved category ..but..most of the people try to avoid them socially..may b not candidly but they try..
It happens all over India.
But pata nahi log Social Growth ko importance kyu nahi dete.
Socially strong people never die of hunger..they can arrange well suited employment for their growth.
