One of my family friend is not having children and he is looking for the child of his same caste, well i didn't argue much with him, on asking he said the guy from my race and caste will understand my culture and will better for my life.

Now the thing is if he want to adopt, why he is looking for the guy of his same caste?? he is not going for a child from http://dict.hinkhoj.com/meaning-of-ORPHANAGE-in-hindi.htmlOrphanage trying it in his own family.I am discussing it here, because there are many social experts here!!well i never get these types of people those make differences in humans..

yeah mee also think same..ok you tell do you prefer girl form your religion and caste or you just go for her chinky looks?? this the reason I drive this topic here..

I don't think there is any need to adopt...unless you need any successors(Dummy). Girl's adoption is out of equations logically.
Girls also wants to live!!!!

They want a boy and that too a Jat.

No one here is thinking over the kid, to be adopted. That kid is also to grow. As soon as he is young he must start thinking about himself. Who is he? Who is his mother/father? If that kid is from same race and family, then his mind will be cool and satisfied comparatively...then he will think like this...oh I see...so I was born in same family and race. But if that kid has orphanage background or no histroy then it will be very painful for him. The mind is automatic. Sometimes he may think he is bastard, sometimes he may think he is Dalit or so. Then he will lose his peace of mind and to cool himself down he will start harassing others, mainly his near and dear ones. Though such behaviour can also come from the kid of same race, but then parents will not feel another kind of pain, pain of being harassed by a kid of no history.
A boy is not afraid of being attacked by the girls, a boy has to live with the parents, but a girl has to move to her in laws home. There are many other reasons, which can be given by those parents in support of adopting a male kid. So they are preferring a male kid. It is matter of one's own choice. There are many other things I can write here in this regard, but I will not, because then some people may say this guy always starts preaching in the threads. So I think it's enough.:)

i m not bothered by caste or religion but i have helped raise my parents my sister daughter(bcoz my sister was away for studies) she had that kind of chinki looks and still look like chinkis.so for me daughter has to be like her.I have son but not lucky enough to be blessed with a daughter.QUOTE=riyaa;263307]yeah mee also think same..ok you tell do you prefer girl form your religion and caste or you just go for her chinky looks?? this the reason I drive this topic here..

akshay its not always the desire to have a sucsessor.a few of my friends have waited so much to have a child.one of them had invitro fertilization and have a very bfull 2 yr old daughter, the other one also went through some hormonal procedures and have a daughter and expecting second girl child again this time.I have seen the longing in their eyes before they had their own child.at that moment i have never seen a bit of gender preference.the only thing they wanted at that time is to have a child of their own......times are changing. i personally know a jat family who have adopted a girl child and raising it very well

so you are going in the footsteps of Angelia Jolie? Media should find new destination soon. By the way, how many do you want to adopt?

thousands of average people adopt thousands of kids everyday in usa.its not unusual or only a celebrity thing.i m not worried about the media but it seems my quotes have already become the destination of some old grudgesettlers . by the way i was not referring to the age of ppl by saying old(sorry i did not notice earlier the name of ppl who liked the quoted quote)

my sincere request to mods please do not let this thread become the leg pulling ground for some ppl.adoption is a very kind gesture and should not be made mockery ground.

Not a social expert but by going the pre-adoption-conditions of your family-friend, I seriously doubt if your family friend would be a 'fit' parent. Parents' love is supposed to be unconditional; in your friend case, his mind is pre-occupied with the caste/race of his to-be-son/daughter. I believe they are considering adoption not out of motherly/fatherly love rather as a calculated investment- to get the dividends in terms of 'care' when they are old and laachaar!!

If I was in his extended family, I would never give my child to such a narrow minded person !!
