No politician of Sonia Gandhi's or NAMO's stature will lie with facts(Sushma Swaraj's FDI debate being an exception) as otherwise media will rip thema part and today's vote knows it all via Google(Though a few find it hard to process the info).

Anyways, here: Unemployment continues its upward spiral in Gujarat

I seldom write about biased media but Pioneer is edited by a RS MP of BJP Mr. Chandan Mitra and had senior right wing reporters like Mr. Kanchan Gupta.

self pro claimed authorities, ek ......baat, reports se jayada "credible and authentic" lagti hain...

Sanjeev- MOUs is a PR word used to generate good press as it does not obligate one any committed action.

If you read my post above there is a RTI pending with the govt which asks govt about the benefits given to this companies to bring them to Gujarat and no answer is given yet. If you look at the increasing debt of Gujarat and incoming companies(of course for a favor) you will realise Modi is giving these companies undue benefits at the cost of the state.

sujhav ke liye dhaniyawaad... lakin mugjhe thoda doubt hai... kahin teri understanding ye to nahi ki automobile hub ka matlab hota hai, sirf un companies ka hona... jahan sirf cars and two wheelers ki assembly hoti hai... like maruti, ford etc... agar aisa sochna hai to soch thoda badalne ki jarurat hai...

automobile hub includes... spare parts manufacturing + spares inport/export + automobile design engineering hub + automotive robots and machines ki manufacturing or inport/export + vehicles import/export and a lot of other things.... (P.S. - Include metro compartments + railways too)

tu to punjab se hai... ye bata sakta hai ki ludhyana mai to machines and agri utilities ki jo industry thi... jo hum 6-7th class ki geography ki books mai padhte the... uski aaj kya halat hai??? or agar acchi halat nahi hai to vo punjab se **** ho kar rajkot mai kab or kyon shift ho gai???

ye link/sources pata nahi "authenticated" hain ya nahi... ye baat to tu hi bata sakta hai... lakin manesar plant mai ek strike or... of fir Suzuki (and other companies) or Modi is baat ko jaroor ensure kar dangae ki gujarat "global" (not asian) auto hub ban jaye... 2-3 saal mai nahi to 5-7 mai...

Nice, you start by saying it is the hub of asia. When asked for sources, you say 5-7 saal mein ban jaye! Sahi hai..!

News reports about proposed plants and collaborations dont prove anything. Show comparison of different states in automobile (including spare parts) manufacturing and prove how Gujarat produces and exports more.

And who told you Punjab is bereft of agri-utilities and spare parts industry? A number of agricultural machinery including tractors, combines. threshers are still built in Punjab. And maximum are by Punjabi businessmen. Sonalika, Preet tractors, Harpal combines etc, these are all well know manufacturers. And this isnt about Punjab is it? It is about Modi's Gujarat and how its is miles better than any other state.

Tumne 1000 laughable cheezein likh ke, finally 1-2 reference diye, aur woh bhi news reports of proposals. None of those reports back up your statements. Just proposals, MoU etc. Hilarious.

or ruhi baat credibility or dimag istemal karne ki to mai ye kehna chahunga ki "apna gyan apne pass rukh"... mugjhe aise logo se credibility or dimag istemal karne ka lecture nahi chahiye jo same surname mai shadi ko support kar ke inscest ko badhawa de...

Acha yaad dilaya. Tumhi ne kaha tha na ki kids dont get equal amounts of genes from their parents? You cant even use Google properly and search for elementary genetics. And the worse is even after I showed you sources, you refused to believe it. The adage - One can take a horse to a well, but one cant make it drink the water, fits perfectly here.

maine tugjhe koi reply na karne ki bahot kosish ki hai... or ye behtar hoga ki tu bhi ye kosish kare...
Faltu or bagair logic ki baatein karoge to response to aayega hi. Nobody is forcing you to reply though and expand your knowledge by way of discussion. After all, ignorance is bliss.

Well, whether it is liked or not by some, no amount of mudslinging by the paid media and the so-called activists can now stop Modi from becoming the PM of India.

The Congress and the Congressies are jittery over the all too obvious prospects of Modi becoming the PM. They are obsessed with Modi. They eat Modi, drink Modi, sleep Modi. If the Congressies had thought this much about God, they would have actually got God.

Swaminomics: Narendra Modi as PM will be at the mercy of allies

I think this article offers a fairly balanced analysis of Modi's probability of becoming PM. The author doesnt raise the bogies of communal image or the riots to shoot down Modi's chances, but offers an alternate view on why Modi wont be successful if elected PM. Modi's very characteristics that appeal to voters - strongman, headstrong, untenable, unwilling to be dictated, etc. may not be deemed suitable at the center where allies rule the government. To avoid that, BJP must win by a majority, which unfortunately will not happen.

But 18 months is a long time, and thinks might change by the time of next election.

Narendra Modi as PM will be at the mercy of allies

As the Gujarat election campaign reaches its apogee, many observers predict a massive victory for Narendra Modi of the BJP, bigger even than the one he won in 2007. This can propel him to become the party's candidate for Prime Minister in the next general election.

The Congress Party is in poor shape, dogged by high inflation, slowing economic growth and widespread accusations of corruption. This could conceivably enable the BJP to come to power once again at the head of a wide-ranging coalition, as in 1998 and1999. And that could mean that Modi becomes Prime Minister.

This prospect fills many analysts with horror. Here is one example, in a column by TK Arun in The Economic Times: "Narendra Modi should not become the Prime Minister because that would destroy the idea of India as a nation that celebrates unity in diversity, where multiple identities prosper in harmony and dignity. Equally, democracy and the rule of law would be casualties under Modi. For the BJP, Modi's ascent to the top would mean a hasty end to any hope of evolving into a centre-right party minus a Hindu majoritarian agenda."

I cannot disagree more with this line of thinking. It sounds to me like fear of Modi translating into mistaken, unwarranted panic.

If he becomes Prime Minister-which is still a long shot-it will be as head of a ramshackle coalition of the sort Atal Behari Vajpayee headed in 1998 and 1999. Vajpayee was the liberal face of the BJP, and had immense charm and a capacity for accommodation that enabled him to carry people along with him. That is how he shepherded a rag-tag group of parties for so long.

But Modi is singularly lacking in precisely those skills. Whatever may be the great administrative qualities that have enabled him to claim to be creator of the Gujarat economic miracle, he has none as a persuasive team builder. He generates fear and loathing not only among other parties but among his own party peers.

"Modi is not on the best terms with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. This is not because the Sangh suspects him of any ideological deviation. Rather, Modi personifies the Sangh's belief system. The problem is that Modi is too authoritarian to accept the discipline even of the Sangh. This authoritarian streak has manifested itself as quashing of dissent and fostering of leaders like Amit Shah, prime accused in encounter killings and extortion rackets." Such a man will be a pathetic failure as head of a coalition in New Delhi. He loves to flex his muscle, and that is feasible for a state leader with a large majority and successful economy. But flexing your muscle is recipe for disaster for somebody heading a wide-ranging coalition in New Delhi. He will be humiliated and cut to pieces daily by his coalition partners, and will probably have to exit with his tail between his legs.

Those who hate Modi should welcome the prospect of his becoming Prime Minister, not dread it. Nothing is more certain to wreck his charisma.

However, the chances of the BJP coming to power in the next election are not too high. In 1998 it won no more than 182 seats against 273 needed for a majority, and required a host of allies to garner a majority. In 1999 it had the huge advantage of having won the Kargil war against Pakistan, yet the BJP-led NDA coalition was fractionally short of the magic figure of 273 and had to rope in the TDP for a clear majority.

In those days the BJP was a major force in the largest state, Uttar Pradesh. But today it has faded into fourth place in the state. It has parted company with its old partner in Odisha, the BJD. So, it will be lucky to get more than 150 seats in 2014. If at all it comes to power it will be as part of a large, undisciplined coalition where minor partners constantly thumb their noses at the Prime Minister. Such a coalition may not even have a majority, and may rule as a minority government of the sort India had in 1996-98, constantly in danger of being toppled.

In 1996, Deve Gowda was a strong chief minister in Karnataka. He happily came to Delhi to become Prime Minister. He found to his dismay that as PM he had pomp and splendour but little real power, and lasted less than a year. Meanwhile, his power base in Karnataka eroded, and on return he couldn't become the powerhouse he once was. That's surely a lesson for Modi.

Good read, Thackrey's have already cleared their choice as Swaraj, Nitish and Modi do not see eye to eye, Leftists will never support BJP and so wont SP and BSP, with in the BJP there are several PM candidates.

Yes. Before allies come to that decision, Modi has to be chosen as the BJP's internal candidate. There are too many internal candidates in the party who have been on the national stage for long and can aspire to be PM. Sushma Swaraj, Jaitley, Yashwant Sinha, these are all possible candidates who could vie for the coveted spot. And Vajpayee was able to become a choice of the allies and BJP as he was a moderate face of the party as opposed to Advani and Joshi. Modi utterly fails at that criteria. But before all this choosing and discarding BJP has to emerge as the single largest party in the next elections or otherwise their PM will be chosen by the allies.

Hi Vikas,,
Let me tell you one small real story...!!!
I have registered myself for employment with Employment exchange long back,,and i got a letter for interview from them too long back,,but i was not interested in that job and i was working in private sector that time..!!!
And now i am working good, but still registered with the exchange.
So Officially i am unemployed..!!!!
but the fact is i am happy with my employment.
So there is no method in the system to track if the person has joined in private sector. Registering in Employment EX is just for Govt jobs ( or govt aided jobs).
This happens in every state, almost all individuals register in love for govt job and stay unemployed in register but actually working in PRIVATE SECTOR..!!!

So , i belive POLITICAL PARTIES which are good at identifying loop holes in system like CONGRESS,,,,MISUSE these datas for election benefit.

Probably you avoided to hear or see that an add campaign by CONGRESS was found hoax with photos from other states and other countries too.

Well GOD bless this country where calling himself as a firm HINDU is regarded as NON-SECULAR(EXTREMISTS)
i don't know what these people call SAUDI ARABIA....may be a democracy..!!!

Gujarat Vs. Gujarat

Do we need to tell a story

HARYANA v/s HARYANA

or

DELHI v/s DELHI ( highest rape and crime rates in capital city being ruled by CONGRESS from last 15 years..!!)

or

ASSAM v/s ASSAM ( ruled by congress from last 20+ years...Bangladeshis accommodated and Hindus slaughtered.)

.....

Dear Modi Followers, next time you talk about him and his proclaimed work please see this: http://www.ndtv.com/video/player/tr...pe-narendra-modi-the-grand-illusion/258447?hp

P.S. Gujarat has signed MoUs worth 800B US $ but so far only $7B has been invested(this is to those who claim Gujarat to be fav FDI destination)
Also, Gujarat state BJP asked its partymen to collect 500 Cr Rs for elections the way Mayawati collects funds, if we criticize her then why not BJP?

No bro you are not, the moment you register yourself with the PF or get PAN no. and pay taxes you are accounted employed, pvt or govt sector does not matter

Probably you avoided to hear or see that an add campaign by CONGRESS was found hoax with photos from other states and other countries too.

Bro, this is funny and not required to be criticized as both BJP and Congress have used fake posters and pictures so dont single out

with the PF or get PAN no

PF account Yes indicates one is employed however PAN not necessarily

Pan number is a proof that you are paying taxes on money you earn, which is only possible when you earn and you only earn when you are employed.

Dear----any one can apply for PAN once he is 18 years even if unemployed . As per government regulations employment is not mandate .
