Modi has decided to contest from Vadodara parliamentary seat for Lok Sabha in addition to Varanasi .

Looks like it's a plan B for Modi. Clearly Modi is playing safe.
If you write some against BJP here, many get offended and they often get personal too. Apparently everything is politically charged and biased here.

If you do not routinely abuse the Congress on social forums you are taken as a sellout, dim or worse a traitor. Never mind who you vote for, but abusing the Congress and praising the BJP is a must in the eyes of the true patriots.
Person who have lived very easy life they can never appreciate Modi, those who struggled in life and rise from poor villager to high profile they can understand MODI and also have respect for religion.
Varanasi seat has 2lakh muslim votes. Last year MM joshi won with a margin of 16000(not a big margin when fighting incumbency). Vadodara in is central gujarat, congress hold. Making a strategy to increase winnability on surronding seats should not be termed as playing safe.
Not necessary to do this, don't praise BJP. But keep on humming 2002 is not acceptable.

Opinion is formed with supporting arguments,there is some base which made him anticipate that way. Will you not be happy if that happens?
The Congressis have raked up one non-issue after another. Mind you I am not referring to the Congress supporters here on JL.
I am referring to the actual diehard Congressis who form part of the Congress' dirty tricks department.
Some say he does not know English.
Some ask whether he is married or not.
Some say he does not wear a skullcap.
Some call him a chai-wallah.
Now it is being said that he is contesting from safe seat.
Well, with the above comments, what more can we expect from the Congress which wants to loot us eternally?
What to talk of 56 ka seena, the Congressis don't even have a 28 inch seena. It takes a 56 seena to praise your opponents/opponent party like Modi did for Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel, Lal Bahadur Shastri and even Pranab Mukherjee. His approach to criticism is that of the policies (of Congress) and not that of person.
But the Congressis have gone mad by attacking Modi personally, professionally, etc. Instead of setting their own house in order, they are hell bent on burning the entire colony (Country) in which their house is located.

Swaich Ji , We are proud to be India, We are proud to be Hindu, We are proud to be JAT, In 2002 root cause of riots was burning alive of 68 Hindus in Train , naturally every religion will react to it. It is not linked to any party, do you think if in Haryana or Rajasthan 69 Hindus would have burnt alive they would have also reacted in same way. We need to remove the root cause, these are not the political issue and will keep on unless root cause is resolved.

There is nothing wrong in it if he wants to contest from two constituencies.
Who does not play safe either in elections or in life !
I agree, there is nothing wrong with 2 seats. It can also be taken as a brave sign to show his acceptability across reasons. However choosing Varanasi gives a different signal, polarizing one.

Friend, politics is struggle for power and everyone involved in it tries to rise !
It is for electorate to choose or reject !
Any seat in UP which is free of the possibility of polarization ? If this is the criterion, he should be fighting from seats like New Delhi, parts of Mumbai and Chandigarh. Can't think of many seats in the country which are free from the possibility of polarization.

Personally I would be happy and feel he does have guts if he fought from a muslim dominated seat if he wanted to prove his popularity
