Kok Singh Thakur (1926-1996), born in Donderiya family, was a social worker from village Khediraimal, Tehsil Dabra, District Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh.

Social works

For 9 years (from 27-02-1974 to 25-12-1982), he was president of Maharaja Kirti Singh Jat Chhatravas. In Jat Chhatravas, he started work of new building from scratch. Along with this, he associated respectable Jats of nearby villages with Jat Chhatravas. He fixed 25th December as day of Annual General Meeting. He held the post of Senior Leader in BJP, Madhya Pradesh. He was also State Representative of BJP.

Besides, he held many other positions in BJP. He was Director of District Central Co-operative Bank, Gwalior for 5 years.

He was Sarpanch of Khediraimal Panchayat, during his tenure he set his village as an ideal example.

His family

Late Shri Kok Singh Thakur married to Late Smt. Bhagawati Devi of Bamrauliya Gotra. had an elder brother, Late Hukum Singh. He had two sisters, Shakuntala Devi and Sajjo Bai. Both are married. He had 3 Sons and 2 Daughters. His eldest son, Late Mahendra Singh, was Accountant in Dabra Sugar Factory. He was Leader of BJP and held various positions in the party. His 2nd son, Niranjan Singh, is an established farmer. His youngest son, Dr. Keshav Singh Thakur, is Professor and Dean of Faculty in Jiwaji University, Gwalior. Both daughters are married in respectable families.
