Mukati (मुकाती)[1] gotra Jat are found in Madhya Pradesh.

History

Shalya Parva, Mahabharata/Book IX Chapter 44 mentions about the ceremony for investing Kartikeya with the status of generalissimo and various tribes who joined it. There was a tribe called Mukutina (मुकुटिन) from whom may have descended Mukati people. [2]

Mukteshwara Mahadeva (मुक्तेश्वर महादेव) at Ujjain is probably diety of this clan.
