Bovas

Bovas (बोवास) Bovasia (बोवसिया)^[1] Bovasa (बोवासा)^[2] is gotra of Jats. ^[3] Boya/Bowa/Bowi clan is found in Afghanistan.^[4] Boya is a Gotra of the Anjana Jats in Gujarat.

Origin

History

Boya/Bowa may be another form of Bai and stand for the tribe whence sprung the Bowi princes of the Dilami dynasty of Persia, the founder of which, Boya, is described as a son of Kaba Khusrau.
