Origin
It is said to be originated from Dari (दरि) of Nagavansh. [3]
History
Adi Parva, Mahabharata/Mahabharata Book I Chapter 57 gives the Names of all those Nagas that fell into the fire of snake-sacrifice: Dari was from Nagas of race of Dhritarashtra.
- शङ्कुकर्णः पिङ्गलकः कुठार मुखमेचकौ
