Ghosamandala (घोसामंडल) is known for a strong fort of Chauhan rulers in Rajasthan.[1]

History
Tej Ram Sharma[5]writes that The Amarakosa mentions Gopa, Gopala, Gosamkhya, Godhuk and Ballava as the synonyms for Abhira and says that the village or place where Abhiras lived is named as Ghosa or Abhirapalli.
Ghosas are mentioned by Cunningham[6] in an inscription at the Buddhist Stupa of Sanchi of the Ashoka period as under:

विजयेन्द्र कुमार माथुर[8] ने लेख किया है ...घोसामंडल राजस्थान में एक प्राचीन अभेद्य गढ़ के लिए विख्यात है. इस दुर्ग के निर्माता चौहान नरेश थे.
