Suda (सूदा) Suda (सुडा) is a gotra of Jats. [1] [2] Suda and Huda are same.
Origin
They are descendant of ancestral person Sudal.[3]
Mention by Panini
Suda (सूद), A place name endings, is mentioned by Panini in Ashtadhyayi. [4]
History
Bhim Singh Dahiya[5] has listed them at s.n. (52) Suda (Rose Vol. III, p. 43 i, Bikaner area)
H.A. Rose writes Huda (हुडा), Suda (सुडा), a Jat tribe found in the Rohtak and Sampla tahsils. It claims Chauhan origin and descent from one Sudal, who settled some 35 generations ago in Rewari (where the people interchange s and h). [6]
According to H. W. Bellew[7] Sarwani sections include Suda, which represent the ancient Sodi of the Indus valley about Multan, of Alexander's time.
