Ok guys & Gals..let me start a Lateral Thinking q's thread.

You just have to think logically and laterally....

I will start with a relatively easy question. For those who know the answer or have heard it before, refrain from replying immediately to give everyone a good chance.

-->A woman is very sick and on life support in ICU in a government hospital. Her husband leaves her to get some medicines from the store. He steps in the elevator and presses the ground floor button and suddenly realizes the sad truth--his wife is dead. What do you think happened? How did he know?

Next:

A person is found hanging in a room which has a height of 14 ft, with a rope around the celing fan. The person is about 5.5 ft tall and the rope around 4 ft. The room has only one entrance- a door, which has to be broken as it is locked from inside. There are no tables, chairs, bed, stools etc found in the room. It is completely empty apart from the person hanging.

How could this happen?

He realizes that there is no electricity !!!

ICU is an emergency life support system provided with power backup...which may not be provided for an elevator . I donot think any hospital providing ICU servises donot have a power back.

So the question is poor.
