I think the intention is very good on this one, and my compliments for that... (though I doubt the pager messages just wanna aquire some bio-data information only by any shot of the imagination! Heh! Heh! ;))

But having said that and in true tradition and support of this thread; here is my simplified intro also (on what is appropriate max. to post on an online website)-

Shailendra Singh, Urban-Design & Planning Director with Miami County (County Government), Florida USA... Married and 34 years of age, 198 pounds (6 foot 2")
Originally from Haryana ('Dhamad' Gaon near Rohtak) but born in Meerut (UP)...
Last resided in Pilani, Rajasthan before coming to the USA for my Masters. (since Dad was in the Indian Army- 4 Jats Regiment, therefore moved and resided around most of Northern India thru my childhood!)
Masters in Urban Design and Town Planning (M.Arch, Univ. of Miami), Bachelors in Architecture (B. Arch, Gujarat)...

Passionate about-
...sports! (Represented Rajasthan at State level in Swimming) and can hold my own in Tennis, Basketball, Badminton/TT, Volleyball (and Cricket!)
...and the arts! (cartooning, sketching-Horses are my fav, painting...etc. Cartooned for some time for the local section of the Times of India, and the Indian Express dailies when in India, and now working on the side trying to put a cartoon Book together on Architectural satire)
...and movies!!! (ask me of a movie and I would tell you all about it... ;) All time fav? 'Sholay'; "Tumhaar Naam kya hai Basanti?", "Pyaara Nahee, bahaut saara bolti hai!" :D)
Never huge on flashy or expensive cars etc; but somehow ended up driving a 2006 Mercedes E-class Benz, that I am really proud of as it has a diesel engine, and is a fast but very fuel-effecient car [gives me a whooping 29-32 miles to the gallon!]...

Like working-out and try to be punctual and stay motivated as much as possible, as keeping in shape is no more about looking good; but about health and well being... (living in a Beach town/City like Miami surely helps and motivates, because damn! everyone here is in such a good shape!!! :))

Finally- Have been here (good ol' Jatland) since probably yr 2002 (I think), Love this website because it is simply awesome! (Hate the occasional bickering and pettiness though, especially if it's some really young, high-on-adrenalin, new member(s) that are out to prove a point)...
Everything said and done people; I would still like to emphasize that it has always been a real pleasure to interact with each and everyone one of you here, enjoy reading your thoughts (I do try and check out everything interesting even if end up not writing anything) posting on threads and having an all-out, nice, full of passion, fair discussion; (but wouldn't back out from a confrontation if it is a challenge! ;))
Have made some wonderful friends here and therefore will always be indebted to this site... (and some enemies too I am sure; but at the end of the day nothing's personal!)
