If u allow me I wud like to say that this is just individual choice... and it cant be challanged... i like horror movies but some guys say how i tolerte that... some ppl like love stories and then i wonder how they tolerate this...

So sum total... its an individual choice and depends prson to person...

-These serials are so irritating and bring negative thoughts.​

-Most of the time they show ladies playing games to bring each other down. And I doubt that some of the Ladies in Gujrati families may be picking up ideas from these serials to apply in day to day life.​

-As once I heard from somebody Ekta kapoor should be renamed as Break-up Kapoor.​

-After all the people who are earning money through these serials should have some responsibilities for the betterment of the society, And I feel majority of them are working in the reverse direction.​

-But I have not seen them for years now, I do not know if they are really improved now.​

Ritu ji..kuch baat bani nahin. Jo matter I was expecting from ur reply...woh mila nahin. aapney apna reply thoda moderate kar diya?

btw..."saas ki phatkar,dadi saas ka pyar.devar and nando ke laad and all the ceremonies and love among all the joint family" inn sab ka jab aapney jikar kiya hai...ek baat meri bhee sunn lena..jo kuch bhee uss serial mein dekhaya gya hai...woh sach nahin hai. Kya real life mein aapney kabhi dekha hai aise?? manney to na dekhya. Aur yadi sach jaan-naa hai to joint family mein rehh kar dekho..2-4 din mein sab bera paat jagaa...aur pher remind karaney ki bhee jaroorat na pade...baar baar!

Sahi likha devender tumne...Horror movies and so called "ekta kapoor serials" mein difference nahin hai kya? Aur India mein har mahine 50 movies release hoti hain...main unko kaun sa achha bata raha hun...muskil se 1-2 sahi hoti hain. Aur baakiyon ka dibba-gol. Atleast public ke haath mein ek tool hai jissey woh kharaab movies ko reject kar saktey hain...lekin serials are penetrating more and more.

I wonder in these serials...How come the same s*** is repeated over & again? How it's possible that 2 people are talking about a 3rd person in a room..and that 3rd guy is standing on door...but they never realize some one is there. How come people don't get old? As some one mentioned, every wife has an extra affair or involved in a conspiracy. and true for husbands as well. Why they in multiples of crores? Aur kisi ko yadi koi khaas baat kehni hoti hai..to woh kehh kyon deta...he stops himself at the critical moment. Kya real life mein kabhi aisa hua hai.

I agree with you Navin....so far Joint family culture is concerned they show it to get hold of all age groups but time to time they show cheap stuff like a bahu getting married to Jeth n when jeth dies she marries the Devar and then the Jeth is alive outta blues and she marries him back....one friend was telling a character got married to her brother-in-laws 4-5 times:o Is this JOINT FAMILY culture to start with? These serials give a feeling of spoon feeding....and people keep enjoying, most illogical concepts are shown which are practically impossible;):rolleyes:

Ritu ji, aapne meri baat ka jawaab apne aap hee likh diya. Jab aap joint family mein rahi hui ho...to u must be rational enough to find out the truth in these serials. Take ur time and compare how u felt in a joint family system and how they portray on TV? Aur gunaah kaisa...it's an independent portal..we both are expressing our views. In the end, it's ur wish what u want to do. No one can stop u.

In the broader sense, my comments are not restricted to Ekta Kapoor serials..I know there are many more in the same class.

1. Being impractical and unreal is one issue.
2. But other main issue is corrupting the minds of people. Teaching them how to interfere and manipulate other peoples lives and torture them and derive pleasure from it. This in my opinion is bigger crime than anything else.
And i dont feel anyone can be a nuetral spectator of these serials. When you are regularly watching something so negative, the negative energy is bound to flow into you.
If you spend your day in a group of conspiring and crying people how will your mood be?
If you spend your day with laughing and enjoying intellectual people how would your mood be?
3. Ekta kapoor says if someone doesnt like dont watch. Big deal! Then we should sell drugs and alchohol freely in our country, if someone doesnt want they will not buy.
These serials ensure that the intellectual level of people remains low and deproves further. They continue playing the pathetic game of one upmanship with each other and continue to try and manipulate other peoples lives and derive pleasure from this pathetic activity.
I feel strongly about it so i write strongly about it. I cannot spend one minute in a room where they are on.
You see the mood in my photograph. We wouldnt have this mood if we were watching a serial at that time.

Usually, I would add some two cents to something as strong and convincing as that statement above and especially so on a topic that is obviously responsible to some extent for the hidden ills in our society! :mad:
...But you know what; there is nothing to add- That's how perfectly it has been stated here...This sums up exactly what is the crux of the situation!

:)yo ek nahi saare serial dekhe se .jabe te saanjh hote hi yo ghar bhaj le se apna basta tha ke:pghara vasu er aparna iska intzar jo karti paave se tv me.er mr bajaj te aajkal sony pe jhalak dikhla ja me nachan lag raha se :rolleyes:

excess of everything is bad .but i do not see any harm in watching one or two in ur free time.
