Koum Ki beti ne..Desh..Pardesh..Zile aur Koum ka sar uncha karne ka kaam kiya hai....... Gunghat k parde se aage badh ...rudhiwadi parampraao ki dahleez ko langte hue...chhori nai Positive achivement ki hai.... aur ek nai Mishaal kayab ki hai...ki mouka mile to hamari bahu betiya bhi..Mainstream me perform kar sakti hai......

रोहतक. बीजिंग ओलिंपिक में जब भारत के जांबाज अपने मुक्कों का दम दिखा रहे थे, तब देश की एक बेटी सात समंदर पार चार देशों की वायुसेनाओं के सबसे बड़े संयुक्त युद्धाभ्यास की कमान संभाले थी। हम बात कर रहे हैं भारतीय वायुसेना में विंग कमांडर मोना दहिया की। मोना चार देशों से आई अलग-अलग विंग की अकेली इंचार्ज थीं। हरियाणा के रोहतक की मोना ने 9 से 23 अगस्त तक अमेरिका में हुए ‘रेड फ्लैग-08’ युद्धाभ्यास में एअरोस्पेस मेडिकल विशेषज्ञ के तौर पर हिस्सा लिया था। इसमें अमेरिका, फ्रांस, दक्षिण कोरिया व भारत की वायुसेनो शामिल थीं। भारत के 247 सदस्यीय दल में मोना एकमात्र महिला अफसर थीं।

क्या थी जिम्मेदारी : इस युद्धाभ्यास में मोना पर बहुत अहम जिम्मेदारी थी। अभ्यास पर जाने से पहले प्रत्येक वायुसैनिक की शारीरिक जांच करना, उनके खानपान पर ध्यान रखना, हजारों फीट की ऊंचाई पर एकाग्रता बनाए रखने का प्रशिक्षण देना और सैनिकों का इलाज करना, उनके मुख्य कामों में शामिल था। 30 जनवरी 1995 को भारतीय वायुसेना में कमीशन लेने वाली मोना दहिया के पति धर्मेद्र दांगी भी विंग कमांडर हैं।

हमारे जवानों ने यूएस-30 जेट फाइटरों के साथ जो कमाल दिखाया, वह गजब का था। हमने दुनिया को दिखा दिया कि भारत किसी से पीछे नहीं है।’

Indeed its a great achievement and hope that it would , or rather should motivate the others to think out of the box in terms of career, and our girls would look up to the career options other than TEACHING , which many of us think to be the ONLY career. No doubt its a noble profession but why confine ourselves to a few options :confused: let the world be "the playground"for our girls :cool: . Let them explore other arenas and make their mark in every field.Lets groom them and gauge their talent from an early age and .....
let there be many more Kiran Bedis, Kalpana Chawlas, Shaina Nehwals, Sonika Chandgirams ...n yeah not to forget ...MONA DAHIYA.....:)

Its a great feet achieved by this jat Girl from Rohtak.

You are right Nysa, our girls should look for alternative s, may be in unconventional fields.

I got a pleasant surprise last month when one of my friends Jaiparkash dahiya informed me that his daughter , after completion of her Electronics engineering Degree joined Indian Army.

This also reminded me of the tragic end of Young woman pilot Miss Ritu Malik, from Model town Rohtak.

Its rightly said, an empowered woman not only uplifts her own family but also helps in the upliftment of the society and nation at its whole.

Great to see such nurturance by Wing Commander Mona Dahiya.

and another glorious feeling is....to find Jat Woman coming out like Twinkling Stars.

and yeah its heartening to see our girls excelling in unconventional field with much aplomb ans ease as they had been doing in the conventional.:cool:

This reminded of me of an incident.. we were at our relative's plc ..n was talking to his daughter , whos in 10 th grade ..paaki padhakuu..:Dib bujhi chhori te ..ek jiji ...kya mein interest se ....doctor banegi ek engr ..k??uske papa bole..andypane mein ..:p ek kyae mein bhi graduation kar lo ..fer IAS k paper ki socho ..(kha liye in maa-baap.ne...k te IAS na te teacher ..extremes..:mad::p)

chhori bolya na kare ..apne papa k aage ..per uss din boli ..:Papa mujhe IAS nahin banna ..main ASTRO-PHYSICIST banugi ..:rock:cool:

sun k ji sa aa gya..(halanki manne bhi thoda kam bera tha ek k bala hai ..:tamatar).. khushi hui ..ek nayi peedhi ki nayi soch ..nai udaan ..:)
