I also agree with Pannu and Sangwan,,,,if some body wants to use his nick name whether its 1 day old or 15 years old, he should be allowed. Sumit wanted to use Singhaada because he is being fondly called by his freinds and he likes it also, it would have not been in the category of Fake ID ,,it was just a you can say request for changing to a Nick name thats all

Regarding Sumit case I have point to make:-

There are certain things needs to be clarified:-

Firstly earlier also people requested for change of name and it was accepted by the Mods, logic for name change can be of any nature starting from , person being haunted or troubled, to hide it from trouble making people, liking for a nick name, Kisi ke kaaka ko purana nam pasand nahi etc etc,,,,,,,Technically the mods have changed the names earlier and they have set a precedent.

The problem started when Sumit wanted his name to be changed and he had his own reasoning and logic for a name change, and he quoted earlier examples also to remind mods for the same.

Its Mods fault to BAN Sumit for this reason, whereas same Mods have changed names earlier,,,,

I think instead of banning Sumit, Mods should have accepted their fault committed by them, and I think even now the Mods have time to accept their fault....

I know you(Mods and their.....) will give thousand logics, we also have counter logics with us, thing is that Technically Mods are at fault....

Now its just their EGO which is stopping them to accept their fault
 
What i think person registered with name has be scrutinized at initial level and he must not be allowed to change it in further stage. I have seen many people out here are trying to do that i m unable to understand the need behind that. Is this some kind of fashion? But Sumit is such a nice guy i wish that mod will uplift the ban from him by giving a warning. And further no one should be allowed to change his/her name.

Nishant bhai why warning to Sumit, if the warning has to be given then I think our MODS deserve that warning before Sumit urf Singhaada Sehrawat does. Its the MODS who have set a precedent by accepting name change request in the past,,,,,,,,,,its so simple to understand,...

I really appreciate your concerns about Sumit, because only few members have shown courage to say what you are saying

Many people have written worst words in this thread... and everyone is ACTIVE member on jatland... and many of them call them as "respected members"...!!! None of them was banned....?? Sachin bhai rules are always applicable for future not on past and its not about sumit when ever this kind of rule come into the picture someone has to suffer but really i m not able to see the problem behind the real name if there is some why don't you request mod to delete the whole account. Bhai beleive me atleast now changing the name is fashion and a point of fun. I didn't find anything wrong in new rule.

Second, for your information, accounts can not be deleted on Jatland as they cause problems in server.

Sometimes you have problems with new rule and next moment you agree. Just take some time and make your mind bro...

some times rules are applicable with retrospective effect also,,,,chalo isko to chhodo,,,,,

Was this a rule earlier, If that is so then Mods should say that we have done it in the past and not found it to be right practice so in future we will not accept any name change request,,,,,

Anil,nishant,sachin, ritu, shweta..u all are really great:rock..u have left the modertaors speechless. It seems they have no arguments to support their decisions. After reading all your posts even a naive will conclude that JL moderators are biased:tamatar. We have to take sumit back anyhow. We cann't afford to lose such a genuine member.......


We want back "singhadaa":rock:rock:rock. Mods, revert your action taken against sumit!!!

Dear cool!!!...I remember u are the person who opposed most the "fun-act":D of Mr. Dev dahiya ji in Jan 2008. I really wonder now u didn't say even a single word . Anil bhai i had a problem the way these rules are implemented as it looks biased not with this new rule. Mods are making rules and changing rules for providing help to another mod who is a fake according to my info. The new rule is looking 100% fine but the condition is it will not get amend in future to hide wrong practice of some other Mod or some favroite member.
The Major problem is with the way these rules are followed not with the rule. I think now it makes my point more clear.

Lekin rule for banning one year is still not justified. What if someone is concerned about his /her privacy. Name change should be allowed...but yes, mods can say NO to multiple requests...

ya fir... lets make sure that Jatland supports deletion of user id. It can be a limitation as of now..but I guess solution is possible for every technical problem...many tech people here would be ready to volunteer.

I believe... there are many options than simply a BAN.. Hope mods hear those suggestions with open ears and open mind !!

a request to satyeshwar....please unban sumit.do not make him the guinea pig of this new rule.in his heart even satyeshwar knows ki sumit is a nice and genuine member of this site.how can he afford to loose such a member of this site for whole one yr ...and the reason is just to protect a mod of this site .
