Well, a very depressive kind of rhetoric is going on here. The issue was something but it is getting derailed and we are heading towards conflicts, conflicts and just conflicts. It hurts to see that it has incorporated some divisive remarks here. But as Kapil said, it really happens that when we write something, feeling strongly about it, then in the heat of the moment we tend to write things that perhaps we otherwise would not have written or written differently. But lets not deflect from what the main issue is.

Shweta's ban is very unacceptable. And yes members come and go. They get banned or they simply leave. But here, there seems to be some lack of communication or something like a block in communication.

We should just talk about Shweta's ban and not about other members or what happened to them. These comparisons would yield nothing.

I just hope that Shweta's ban is lifted because, as Anil has said, she is a creative contributor of this forum.

Anyways, what did you expect? There might be bear market rallies, but it is going down for 2009 as far as I can see. With Obama coming in, there was bound to be an over-reaction, but as the euphoria settles down, people would realise what deep sh*t they are in. Also look at CDX/ITRAXX- credit is trading so wide, pricing in deep recession- compared to that equities are on dope. I'd have bought gold as an inflation hedge, but it is already zooming. Maybe oil is not a bad bet right now. It has already taken a big hit. If there are any signs of recovery, this could be the first one to react. Looking at the supply of money now and adding a couple of conflicts to it, people might rush to black gold at first signs of inflation.

i really do not se a issue here........and why one should change their name only to be get banned.when sumit did... he had some point to prove regrading the identity of a moderator.now it really seems annoying ppl using that rule and then blaming mods.shweta is a dear friend and i really felt bad for her but why she asked for ban using the name rule.

Unnecessary hue and cry over nothing !

When Satyeshwar has already quoted saying Shweta can come back to admins anytime if she feels strongly about the permanent ban, why everyone else is going gaga over it ? She got what she asked for, a name change and with it, a ban. In my opinion, a permanent ban is more of an apt solution for a name change request. O'wise members here will flood admins with requests like these.

Admins are the most hard working people here. Trust 'em and their decisions. I have never seen 'em come out with absurd solution to any problem. Those who believe against it, should not come here so as to keep their self-respect intact. Because, as per their belief, they are and will always be demeaned here. Preserve your individuality folks.

Shweta has been an asset to JL and I request her to reconsider this decision. However, we won't mind seeing her as "Shailja Singh" after a year. I think she herself wanted to take a break from proceedings.(Bobo, dont do a :thappadplease, if you didn't intend it !) Admins just obliged.

What I have been saying is that people should not come with these racists feeling and rather than calling Mukesh a racists you are calling me so,,,,its very strange

My point is that we should not differntiate based on the region a person comes from. Again I am saying for me ALL JATS ARE SAME.

First thing that regionalism issue was not discussed in the thread which was closed, I didnt write there for some time so that Mukesh can realize his mistake, either edit that text or take his words back,,,,,,,,

Then initiated another thread and some where he has also written that he will continue initiating new threads if Mods close them,,,,so in that context we can not isolate what our worthy member Mukesh Samota had written in his first thread.

Baar baar discuss nahi i am just clarifying because people started labeling me as a racists where as they should have said so to Mukesh Samota,,,,,,,,dusra iska faayda ye hoga ki,,,,aagli baariyaan koye bhi is type ki gheenoni baat bolne se pahle 100 baar sochega,,,,,

Deepika the other thread got closed before we could support in this cause. Then Mukesh Samota Ji posted her e-mail....Now if you know that someone has been writing to Moderators against you, Will you support that member? Still i discussed this matter with Satyeshwar on G-talk. Now like an Idiot should i paste that chat session over here to prove that i DID DISCUSS this matter? Mkesh happily pasted her e-mail here because Shweta just complained about members who are disliked by Mukesh Samota himself? If his name was in her mail, i gurantee he would never have pasted that message here.

I personally feel that a member like Shweta doesn't need anybody's UNWANTED SUPPORT and what upsets me more i thought she is as strong as me I thought she can fight on her own. She might be upset on reading this like she gets upset on OUR other posts she complained about, so a simple question- DO WE REALLY HAVE TO BE LIKED BY EVERYONE?

P.S.- Should you keep nagging members because their replies are not up to your expectations? Or they dont write what you want them to write?
