Mubarak Ho Ranjit Ji,

Keep visiting and also keep a note of the genuine critic points raised by fellow members here to improve the ongoing growth in haryana.
We sometimes hear from members that "yahan likhne se kya hota hai". So by this they will feel that they also have a say by writing on net also.

Good Luck!

Sir,
Congratulations on your appointment.
What do you do as part of your job?
Are you gonna do anything for development or are you just gonna keep the seat warm?
Please don't take my question the wrong way? But seriously - what do you plan to do?

Sidharth ji, I thank you and all others above. Normally I have been avoiding putting my political views on JL, but since you have asked me, I would reply briefly, without criticism or praise of any individual or party.
My role will be mainly to strengthen the party which otherwise also I have been doing for the last 12 years after leaving my job as Executive Engineer.

Regarding development, I took up the matter of Thermal Plant Yamuna Nagar with the Chief Minister immediately after formation of Congress Govt. in the state. This project was held up due to some unnecessary legal technicalities created by the previous Govt. All hurdles were removed in a matter of days and work started resulting in the timely completion of the project and the state started getting 600 MW power last year.

The important role of electricity in development was emphasized by me at all forums and currently thermal plant projects for generation of 4000 MW power are under construction in the state. Every year one unit will be commissioned.

Took up the matter of raising the compensation for land acquired for the Kundli Manesar Palwal highway. The memorandum submitted by me for this purpose is the 1st paper in the file and in the month of April, 2005 itself the rates were increased. The farmers got Rs.505 crore more compensation as compared to earlier rates in this project only.

I assure you that I will not sit tight but continue to contribute my little bit. I am not a part of the executive but being in the party, can only give suggestions for the development and betterment of the common man. Providing more details by me will be construed as self praise, which I would like to avoid.

Thanks again.Your question is natural and genuine and I have taken it positively.

Best of luck for your future endeavors.
Although, I personally believe that the government should stay out of production - electricity or otherwise. The only reason for which they engage in production of non-public goods is to use it a political tool. More free bijli around election time means - more votes - and the middle class gets shafted paying the bill. I think I should stop now. Anyway, best of luck.

I do not agree with you Sid. Government should produce electricity and distribution & collection of revenue should be private. I see the same arrangement here in canada and it is quite successful.
Thanks.
