Books are the same which u might have also read but nazariya alag hai....which is particular...:p

I am not asking you to agree with me....u may or u may not......its upto you.

Its not necessary to argue for agreements. Agree to Disagreements.;)

No, i am not into any arguement.
I have read at least 50 books on Mahabharta but never came across any single book where the actual size and names of villages, which Pandavas demanded, were mentioned. So just curious to know that which books i have missed and would like to through them NOW for more information.

Dhritrashtra was only the replacement or in other words a dummy. Nothing more than that. Pandu was the actual king so as per the rule after pandu his elder son was supposed to be the king of Hastinapur... :)

The rule ...." Elder son , prince to the crown"......right?

Dhritrashtra was the elder son ........so he should be crowned?....but he was not.

Later, he was crowned as the King of Hastinapur after Pandu was dethrowned.

Now his elder son....Duryodhan....so he should be crowned?.....but...Mahabharat:boxing Why?????

Why it so that the same rule is followed for Yudhishtir and not for Duryodhan?????

Duryodhana's father Dharitrashtra was not the King but was a temporary replacement for the King Pandu. Dharitrashtra was supposed to hand over the throne when eldest Son of Pandu ( Yudhishtra ) grow up. But he didn't. Instead of handling over the throne to the actual successor, blind father and his greedy son ( Suyodhana ) started playing tricks and plans to kill the Pandavas. Yudhishtra had the right for the crown but Duryodhana wanted to sit on the throne by hook or crook. I would like to suggest you to read the whole Mahabharta again. if you like to read then i can recommend few books. :)

Suyodhana beared partiallity ????? that's amazing ... where Kunti and her son's were treated with the statuts below than a royal family and were insulted by Duryodhana and his father. I seriously advise you to read Mahabharta once again and penned down by a well known Historian/writers.

Bheeshma had the loyality towards the throne only and didn't had any personal preferences and that's why he fought for the officail army of the Hastinapur against the Pandavas. It is ridiculous to question about the loyality of a person who dedicated and sacrificed his whole life to the throne.

Why only talking abt the insults to Kunti and her sons....why not seeing that Duryodhan, his brothers, even parents were sometimes insulted.

And abt Kunti.....well now i'll say she deserve that....bcz she did wrong to Karan....why did she left her inborn....hw can a mother be so harsh (now dont say wo majboor thi)....and poor Karan has to bear all his life.......called a Sootputra though he was a Kshtriya......why???????? :(

Best solution to avoid all this was to make Karan the King....he was eldest among all brothers....kauravas and Pandavas...a deserving candidate...and moreover a frnd of Duryodhan....;)....right???? basssss khatam thi baat yahinnnnnnnnnnn.....

Deepak Bhai, I don't know which books you have read but if you like to get into more details of the characters of Mahabharta then i would like to recommend you two books specifically.

1 Krishnavtaar By K M Munshi ( 7 parts )
2 Mahasamar By Narender Kohli ( 8 parts )

KM Munshi was a well known scholar, former Governor and researcher.
Narender Kohli is widely known for his reaserch work on ancient epics and history.

Certainly....but as long as one treats Mahabhartha as a story, one cannot see the hidden truth.

That is the style of all vedic literature. It is not what it appears to be.

You are right Deepak Bhai,

Most of the people read Mahabharta just as a story and don't ever try to understand that characters, their behaviour with respect to the cotemporary circumstances and above all ... their values.

Karan and Arjun came face to face many times during Mahabhart war and even before the war and each time Karan had to run away.

Dhritrastra and Duryodhan both were equally responsible for the Mahabharata war.

merra bhi parichey karwaiyo kaks' plzzz....:p aapne paddhi bithake pahadd chadhunga pher :D

Na bhai Assali aale BHISHAM PITAMAH.

My fav was Duryodhan....if we look within we all have a lil duryodhan hidden within our personality.

He was loyal to his family,
Loved his dad and mom,
He had greed to rule,
He was loyal to his gurus....

I would rather say the entry of all Pandavs in the historical epic was doubtful & that birth of all Pandavs slightly mysterious doesn't mean that they were superior.....

Getting back to Duryodhan, I would say he was kinda immortal on battle field, just that shmart ass Krishna knew about his weakness he was killed.
He semblance with Achilles (Click here for details) is quite an interesting topic, both were brave warriors of all times and had the same passion and untold stories and both died due to flaw in their physical structure.

If we appreciate the positive qualities in a person everyone born under the stars is gr888 ;)

There is no doubt that Duryodhan was Dhritrasthra's elder son. Also, Dhritrasthra was nothing but a dummy for the throne. Reason??? Pandavas were too young to handle the responsibility. So, when Yudhishtra became eligible for the crown, it was the moral duty of Dhritrashtra to leave that particular place for him. Instead he created situations which lead to bitter rift between brothers.

Trust me this is the only actual fact...:)

I trust you dude....but then again..Was Duryodhan not eligible enough ??

Yudhishtra was just a smarty, good at words coming outta his mouth.....but no experience on his resume...on the other hand Duryodhan was born prince and he actually saw it happening for real......you can ask anyone....this is a FACT !!

I wish Duryodhan was born in place of Yudhishtra. He would have surely become the king and fulfilled his the only wish :)

Dhritrashtra Was elder then Pandu but due to his blindness Pandu was made king. After death of Pandu he became king. So this was the rule at that time that elder son of king will be the next king. So as per rules Duryodhan got the right to become king not Yudhisthir.
Yudhisthir got no right to claim for throne.

Agree with u guys.....but dnt knw why people r not getting this point:confused:...I have already mentioned all this fact.....Duryodhana has the right to throne.......par naa Pandavas ne dena chaha....aur ab bhi people dnt want to give....:D

Dhritrashtra was never an eligible candidate. He was crowned so that rival and neighbours don’t get a wrong message that political condition in Bharatvansh is so week that they dont have a king. It was a known fact that Yudhishtra is the future king. That’s why when pandu died pitamah himself went to jungle; escorted and brought kunti and pandus back. Also, during their education guru dronacharya always gave Yudhishtra a front seat and gave preference to him.

Agree that Bheeshma dedicated and sacrificed his life.....but do u think it is fair on his part to disclose the fact that how can Pandavas kill him.

He was so strong and blessed with "icchamrityu".....and can not be killed by anyone, not even the Pandavas...if he wished Kauravas can easily win, and Bheesham was with the Kauravas ..but he himself disclosed the way to kill him to Pandavas....why???.........Is he really loyal??? :p

Now you are discussing. :)

No doubt Bheeshma was so strong and could have killed Pandavas. If you get more into the character of Bheeshma you will see that he was so tired of supporting of injustice. He felt guilty of doing some things which he should not had done but for the sake of his loyality to throne he somehow did that.

Even Duryodhana had doubts on Bheeshma’s loyality in the battlefield and that’s why Bheeshma took a vow that he would kill atleast 10,000 ‘enemies’ per day to make sure that he was fighting with all his worth. And he did that bravely till 10th day of war ( the day he was laid down on arrow-bed by Arjuna ).

For Bheeshma, both Kaurava’s and Pandava’s were his sons and when the war used to stopped at evening. They used to talk together. According to Bheeshma, Duryodhana was wrong and Pandavs were right inspite of his loyality to the throne. He himself declared that his body is bound to secure Hastinapur but his mind is of his own and he can not lie. Krishna knows that and all that happenend. You can blame Krishna for using his tactics to win the war but can not blame Bheeshma for a foul play.

Is this behaviour suits to a teacher for whom all his students should be equal and equal preference should be given to all.....not only the favourite???...........Favourtism......:(
