Today our honourable Home minister P Chidambaram ducked a shoe thrown by a journalist at a press conference in New Delhi. Chidambaram was replying to a question posed by a Sikh journalist on the Central Bureau of Investigation's (CBI) clean chit to Congress leader Jagdish Tytler on the 1984 anti-Sikh riots.

Shamefull act! The journalist should be punished if they have any issues they must have replied in the election by voting against the person.

Although we should not suport this kind of action, but these things are not new to the poltician they occasionaly do these act now they to do it outside parliament or vidhansabha ,ducking the shoes

I know if we would have been in Chidambaram's place probably your suggestion would have been our action. But guess what Chidambaram did? He smiled and asked security guards to take the reporter out of the room. He further told that let not the action of one emotional person hijack the entire press conference. He has answered reporter's questions to the best of his ability.

Bhai aisa hai ki,,,,,jinko Joote lagne chaahiye unko joote maarne ki to koyi himmat bhi nahi kar sakta India mein,,,,,aur ek sharif insaan par jutta phenk diyaa us paagal ne

I completely buy your point. But have you ever thought all these years the kind of agony Sikh community have gone through? I know whatever the journalist has done is shameful but do you justify the clean chit of Tytler???? The similar cases are Uphar Cinema, Bhopal Gas Tragedy. Do you think after waiting for so many years people have actually got the justice????

I think Mr. Singh who flung that shoe didnt do it personally on mr. chidamberem he did it to the Home Minister who is suppose to be responsible for the report put in the court regarding mr. tytler

Hmmmm but that's how any shrewd poltician will behave as they guys every time plan their acts for vote bank. But still he one of the most educated person we have in Parliament. I respect him and he is one of the preson i like in Indian politics.

Very true. But Chidambaram is one of the politicians who need not to think about the vote bank. If I am not wrong he has a potential to win the election from any location in India. It was his modesty which prevented him not to take strict action against the reporter. he understands the pain of the community. But unfortunately his hands are tied up with certain political reasons.

Chanderprabha ji is type ki ghatna ki ninda karni chahiye. Aisa nahi hona chahiye.Lekin hume ye bhi dekhna chahye ki ye ghatna kyo hui aur iske pichhe kya karan hai. Koi bhi ghatna bina karan nahi hoti. Jis ghata ka aap jikar kar rahi hai vaisi ghatan tab hoti hain jab aadmi har aur se niras ho jata hai aur uska desh ke kanoon ya hukamrano se vishwas uth jata hai. 1984 ke riots me kitne nirdosh sikho ko kitni berahmi se maar dala gaya. Kitni inquiry hui kitne commision baithe lekin koi natiza nahi nikla kisi ko koi saza nahi hui. Saza to door gunhagaro ko pachana bhi nahi ja saka ab tak. Aur theek elections ke time Tytler jaise logo ko clean chit di jati hai. Aisa karke sarkar ne jale kate pe namak chhidkne ka kaam kiya hai.Ye hadse aapki kaum ke sath nahi hue hai isliye aap unki manshikta ko nahi samanj sakti hai.Lekin akhir me main is ghatna ki phir se ninda karta hoon. Aisa nahi hona chahiye tha.

Sachin bhai aapko is type ki language intemal nahi karni chahiye. Inka fuffa se aapka matlab hai ke sikho ka fuffa. Pls kisi dusri kaum ke bare me aise sabd nahi kahne chahiye. Aap us kaum ke dard ko samnjho. Unki jangh pe aapne ko rakho aur bhir soch ke bolo.Vaise main juta phekne wali ghatna ki ninda karta hoon.

I think you have misunderstood me. :) I haven't accepted whatever has happened. I also agree that it's a shameful act. I simply wanted the reported should not be given a harsh punishment. In fact after this act politicians should try to give justice to the entire sikh community. Else in future India should prepare herself to face a tough time.

Yes ur right chandra ji.I think all these reporters got insperation from the reporter who threw shoes on George Bush. But still i think in India this type of things should not happen.Ours is a democratic country but we should not express our feelings like this, rather we should express our feelings by our votes and defeat these types of parties who make mockery of CBI and use it for their narrow vote banks.THese parties use judicial system also for their party, thats why clean chit is given to mr. Tytler

I might be wrong but don't you think CBI is politically influenced? Also, the shoe was not thrown on Chidambaram as a person but on Home Ministry and Indian Judiciary System. As far as involvement of Politics in Indian Judiciary system is concerned I think the percentage is too less. Thanks to shrewd advocates who manage to make the case in favor of criminals by manipulating the witnesses.

You are absolutely right Ms Chandraprabha, This shoe was thrown on our biased system, which does all the things in under pressure of all corrupt politicians.

I think they will soon start asking all journalists to remove their shoes outside the room before any conference.
