We certainly need a ferocious Jatni in political ring to fight the likes of Jaya Lalitha, Mamta Banerjee and Mayawati. Only they can disarm the " Bhism Pitamahs" of politics.

Raj Bhateeje, after a long time I feel that the Jatland is like what it used to be......

Amazing.... You know what, I am going to take a print out, remove the comment and have the cartoon autographed by Ms Mayawati, as and when I am able to pull it off the next time she visits our Hotel (where I work). She usually holds her press conferences here. I don't promise, but if autographed, I shall mail it to you.

Super cartoon, really. I have never seen a better cartoon of Ms Mayawati.

The one you made for me, remember, hangs right besides me in my office and everyday at least there is one querry. Mein bhi bor mein aa ke kah dyu su, ak ristedar se AMRIKA main....

Well, lots of middle finger raising discussion is goin on here ... so I decided to take a snap after casting vote today ... but instead of raising middle finger I raised two fingers to carve Victory symbol, that looks gud ! ;)

Am attaching my picture here thou you may find difficult to see the ink mark on my index finger, btw I caste my vote for Congress !! :)

Managing to get it the Sketch of Madame Mayawati autographed, if that happens, would be awesome and yes, absolutely wud love to get a copy of!

In fact I did exactly that and for a while when still working (as an Architect) in India; I cartooned quite regularily for the Indian Express (Ahmedabad section) and sometimes even for the Times of India's local section there.

Much more recently than that and after coming here too the US; I contacted the North-American Indian Express newspaper publications here and sent them my past published stuff (in India) and they immediately contracted me to create satirical cartoons on the Indian diaspora here... which I did for more than a year, after which my own full time work commitments made it impossible to keep up with that twice a month, come-up-with-a-new-cartoon, schedule!

BTW, I have all those in my archives of course, and sharing just a couple of them here for now... the rest maybe one of these days, surely...

Also, Since then I have channelled some of those abilities to creating something more nearer to my heart and related to my chosen profession - Urban Design/Planning related cartoons (mostly about awarness of Bad Planning Principles here in America depicted in a funny way)... these too have been published in The New Towns Paper (it's an important monthly publication magazine for Urban Design circles in the country).

So yes, I am following the dream passion... but for now these are all simply hobbies, stress relievers, and fun stuff to do on the side and I always try dabbling in that as much as I can...

I am attaching a couple (one from the North-American Indian Express published cartoons and one from the New Towns paper planning related cartoon) for all you folks reading and visual pleasure.

Rathee jee being a jat this"never say die" attitude is in my blood so i can't really help it:D.....Waise mujhe lagta hai yeh gunn maine meri mummy se inherit kiya hai...aur unka surname "Rathee" hai:D.....Joining politics will be the last thing on my mind...even if an honest person joins it,he/she has to compromise someday and have to make favours to the known people for personal or social obligations...and sometimes its been done out of generosity but thats the begining in reality....one can't survive when one enters such messy profession and dealing with corrupt people everyday is hell of a job....woh kehte hai na kichadd me agar paav dalla toh daldal me dhass jana laazmi hai....Har honest aadmi yeh soch kar hi iss daldal(politics)se durr hi rehta hai....because for them respect and image is more precious than money and power :)
About arguments with RK uncle was not to show him down and look intelligent but was just a clash of views....I respect him and i know he has no grudges for such a minor issue...aajkal bache bhi badoo se debate kar lete hai and its all is to exchange views and vision towards certain things in world.

But Poonam ... History is full of people who have murdered/plundered/lied to get to the top. I think she is accomplished in selfishness, divisiveness, hatred etc etc. I find her behavior very repulsive along with other pols. Anyway, she is just a reflection of the people who elect her.

erstwhile we saw two great personalities representing india... the president dr. apj kalam nd pm dr. manmohan singh. lets now witness pratibha patil nd mayawati... another deadly combination. am so excited to see mayawati's attire at some foreign convention, if at all she is blessed with the crown of pm'ship.

मुझे तो सिर्फ सांगवान की 1st पेज वाली पोस्ट का डर है :(.

I just wished to ask your opnion about a question since you seem to be very passionate and vociferous about this discussion.

Now that you seem to have agreed that dressing sense etc are trivial issues and it is not her caste which should make her the PM AND also not prevent her from being the PM, then we come to the obvious question:

What qualities in her will make her a good PM for India? (I mean what qualities would you want to see in her)

What did politicians before her do for UP? What different has she done?
If hypothetically she was a Jat and everything else was exactly the same (just assume) then what would your feelings be? Would you or would you not revert back to the question in bold above?
