In the last 15 years of state level regime in Haryana, there has been a progressive curve in learning behavior by the leaders:-
1) During Bansi Lal ji's regime, everyone knew him as a headstrong person with unshakable values in life about right and wrong. It was known about him- 'Na khave, na khaan de' (doesnt accept or let accept bribes).
This created the restlessness among the MLA ranks who were interested in little more than their own purses. Rebellion among MLAs let to Bansi LaL jis downfall
2) Chautala learned from this and kept and iron whip for his MLAs, party workers and even beaurucrats. It was 'My way or the highway' and extortion, farm house treatment etc etc became the norm.
then it was 'Saare khudde khave se, khaan na de' ...MLAs who tried to revolt, were given quick doses of farm house treatments which mended their illness rapidly and kept it in control.
But people knew what was going on and so did the root level party workers who were left 'High and Dry'...this illetrate, high handed dictator approach led to chautalas downfall
3) Hoodas learned from this and kept a strong business like attitude in things....the hierarchy is structured more in a corporate manner now...u eat according to your rank and a commision reaches the top....Symbiosis among different ranks and a tight grip on the media and and external signals to keep a tight check on the image projected to the masses.
The Goonda image having been lifted and a regime of 'opportunity' you can eat according to your rank and ability as long as you remain faithful to the person above you in the pyramid structure....Make people work under you and project the 'nice guy' image....
however in the 1st and 3rd regimes, development work has been done which is positive and hopefully will be carried forward in future also...
Vikas bilkul sahi kaha aapne. Common man wants development, jo abhi Hooda ke raaj me ho rahi hai... Khata har politician hai, but kuchh paisa agar janta ke upar bhi kharch de to log usse khush rehte hain... Hooda Raaj me wahi hua hai...
