I stopped posting on this forum for a while after i got censured repeatedly by the mods, for being upfront about my views. I think some members are still recovering from the constant rap on the knuckles by the mods, and are thus gonna take some time to start posting again while being candid about their views.

i post on jatland because it is my way of connecting to my fellow jats, sitting here in the middle of a desert. I will keep posting on jatland as long as i can spare some time for it or until satyeshwar personally comes and puts a gun on my head and tells me to stop posting. Lol!

on a serious note, it feels good to see other old-timers like you, still hangin' around on the forum. There were times when i would come to the forum in a long time and could not recognize the handles of any of the new posters on jatland. Gaganjat and cooljat will always sound synonymous to jatland!

Mods please keep a hard copy of BLS uncle's post and that will be used in future :D. sab inhi ka kiya dhara hai.

Yup, Sumit; you keep visiting, bud (and it is good to see you back and posting more often now!)...

But listen, I would seriously like to use what you kind of hit upon in your post as a sort of a segue into maybe try and decipher some real 'personality-issues' found here (every once a while)... that can be downright frustrating, simply for their nuisance value:

The real truth is that say what one may, people get offended here all the time unfortunately; undeniably and immediately recognizable is when one spots those typical phrases sprinkled around in a post or response that wud go something like, "How-does-it-feel-now?...", “do-you-really-have-brains?', "that-was-stupid/irrational","thought-I-would-ignore-you-first-but-then...", "I-don't want-to-respond-to-people-like-you", "listen-I-am-a-Jat-too"(duh, yeah!:rolleyes:), "Who-the-hell-you-think..." etc. etc, .... I am sure most of us have been there, and remember that at that point one just has that sinking, slow feeling ("here we go again with another joker...") realizing that anything coming next is just gonna be a total waste of time, energy and the peace of mind; haggling with an illiterate and disrespectful individual...

Frankly it is a dilemma to either respond or ‘walk on’ at that crucial point.... very difficult to do the latter of course, but then the more mature and as the purist would say 'what a better individual would do' approach!!! [I had also heard someone quite aptly quote that "keechad mein patthar..." etc., and that really suffices to explain the dilemma of the hour! ;)

But then the real question arises as - that by doing that (the undoubtedly more mature of the two actions) is one giving a moral-victory and future free rein to such individuals, empowering them by maybe backing away and not stooping to that crazed level???
I still don't know the answer and sometimes do wish there was not this prefered need to be slightly more forgivin'.... but well, if nothing else then there's at least this sort of sneaky satisfaction wherein one knows that after having poured their slow-minded frustrations out in the most choicest of words, they themselves stand exposed among the rest in any case, ....them with those fool-hardy and immature public reactions for everyone else to see and snigger at...

Then there are some that come with that extra-baggage ('I-definitely-gotta prove-a-point-today' come what may...) the ones that are so thick in their rationalizing of simple words from others that they are ready to fly off the handle at the touch or a nudge of a key. These I would define as simply the most couth and dangerously-silly folks; no chance of salvaging any ounce of self-respect and/or consideration here... (you better just disappear from there pronto and count your blessing at that! ;))

The good news is; as most of us regulars (I wud hate to use the word ‘ol’ timers’:)) know these are the dime a dozen, flash in the pan bloggers that shall come, burn brightly for a while, lose the incentive soon after everyone starts avoiding them like the plague and would then be surely gone soon and as fast as they had arrived.... and yes thankfully the 'Gaganjats' and 'Cooljats' of Jatland would always be around to simply carry on and make this the place we all love to visit, post and come have a good time every once a while! :)

Thanks for your post ,that is a good summary of happenings observed on JL. People come and go, read and post. Experience emotional upheavals at smallest of things, probably that is their nature and can not be helped. It goes without saying "little minds get wounded by smallest of things". With our writings, we project our thoughts and personalities. Those who accept this truth that people are different ,will enjoy the trip to JL. Trying to change the world is such a waste of time, which is always in short supply. Instead if we try to make the best of what we have , life will be much better for all. Enjoy life and company of people you like that seems to be the best strategy in these uncertain times.

Bahut say log eak-dusrey kee tang kheenchney kee perverti rakhtey hai jiskey kaarn kuchh likhney say bachney lagtey hai. Modretors ka role bahut important hai or sabhee posts ka saaf suthra or shaleen hona jaruri hai nahi to baake kee sites mein or Jatland mein koi aanter nahi raheyga.

baat aapki theek hai, lekin ye site sirf information ke liye bhi nahi hai, log yaha maje bhi karte hai ar majee mai tai admi kuch na kuch likh ae de sai, ke pharak padde sai. hade kuch nahi bera kiski ke age sai, ke kiya karre ghatiya admi sai ak bhadiya, ameer sai ak garib , naukar sai ya maalik ,,,to sabke liye sab barabar hai. aur vo log bhi log sacchi baat bol sakte hai jo asli life me shayad nahi bolte

its a great place and no body should get offended by lil things ar ib ho tai bhai apni issi tissi karawe

Dear Shailendra Hooda,

Thanks a lot for taking time to critically, analyze the issue. If we see this post itself, we can see the comments, those don't make any sense for the time being put in writing them.

It is a wonderful site, to express your views, share your experience and may be help the community if you would.

There are two brand of people, that I see here. One brand is that concentrates on the issues, makes a post and gives extremely valuable suggestions.

The other brand of people will post those one liners, on any and every subject, using all kind of language, offending most members . Actually consistency at which those people makes their presense felt, helps a lot for the selective readers.

But then, as Gagan has mentioned, that there needs to be some fun too.

I have a suggestion for that: If I really want to have a fun on a serious topic or want to make fun of the other member: make a post like this:
"Kindly see my comments in the Humour" section. So we run two parrellel threads on each subject: one in relevent section and one in humor section. Since most members who post on every and any subject do have plenty of time available at their disposal, they can have some more use of it, by making two post every time they want to have fun, and that is having "More Fun".

As I had mentioned earlier: Jatland is a good facility created by our fellow Jats: We can USE it, MISUSE it or ABUSE it. I feel it might be a good idea to USE IT
 
dear col tevathia ji pranaam... you hv writtne to the point. people who write one liners and write off topic shud be punished and same time ppl who write seriusly shud be given due recognition u rightly said jatland shud be used and not misused. paralel thred can also be started.

ude ja ke dekh ......byah kise ka howe sai.....arrr rola jatland aale kar rahe sai.....:D.......koi kisse ne swayamvar me jaan ki salah de sai....teh koi kawe sai....yade bhi swayamvar karwa dooo.....arrr ek madam ne teh dusri madam tai rakhi sawant ka darja de diya......:D

Jatland is a place where we all belonging to the same community interact and share our views and ideas and in that way this site is quiet interesting !
But when valuable additions, opinions and free and yet self controlled flow of ideas go missing then yes Jl appears boring. At times people indulge in leg pullings and giving meaningless remarks which doesnt make this portal appear too good.
And still there would be some people who find those very things interesting and for whom it is that which makes JL appealing...many heads many minds..
