Do you remember which movie these dialogues are from?
No prizes for guessing.:) Every dialogue/scene/song from Sholay is memorable.

How about sharing with us your favorite dialogues, lines or scenes from the movies?

P.S: I am sure there would already be a similar thread on JL, but hey, you must have seen more movies since that thread got lost in archives.
So, either revive that thread, or add on to this thread.

Thanks

Good one!

... It's funny cause like you did yourself 'Sholay' somehow seems to be the default movie that one just simply gotta have to mention the dialouges of... BUT fine, let's see if we can break off from that mould here a bit and venture further out....

Ok, I really like this one.... (and well, doesn't harm following the idiom itself in your head and actions too once a while! ;))

Amitabh's 'Kaalia' (I think from the 80's) "Hum jahan pe khade ho jaate hein, line wahin se shuru hoti hai." [Utterly Slick!]

Yu kee hum keh rahe the, Sholay is a classic, and we can quote the complete movie itself :)
Thank you for setting the stage for other movies.

Aai Babumoshai...

Talking about dialouges and such and reading the title of the thread I gotta add that got reminded of a recent incident that occurred at the 'green carpet' IIFA awards event (in pakao-Macao) that I had happened to watch on TV;

That moment was Rajesh Khanna getting his Lifetime achievement 'or something' award; given/handed away to him by babumoshai Amitabh Bachchan himself - and well, long story short Rajesh Khanna ended up using that same dialogue from 'Anand' as the opener line for his emotionally charged speech!

I found the whole scene as pretty surreal... and also something one didn't want to miss a moment of; you see here were they both, looking nothing like those two characters from that iconic movie of old anymore... in fact Rajesh Khanna looked completely like a human lobster (he surely uses a personal tanning machine or something at home! :p)... BUT still the presence of the two super stars like that was pretty electrifying... and it was somehow surreal and nostalgic all at the same time too because the style and delivery by Khanna when he used some pretty heavy dialouges and 'shers' was exactly the same/magical as his prime - the guy can certainly still put it well! And like how, he said it like he meant it (of course he also went on to add things like, "kal hum the...aaj koi aur hai"... etc. etc.)...

I don't know if you yourself caught the event on TV or not but gotta add that I for one distinctly remember finding the whole response of Amitabh more than a bit lukewarm all that while (he stood there slightly behind and out of the limelight of course, in his usual ambassador-like attitude with hardly much of a smile playing on his lips... I mean he surely could have been a little more warm to the situation considering Kaka had somehow managed to create that oldie-nostalgia atmosphere with that heart-wrenching speech on a grand stage that apparently the Bachchans have a lot of stake in!)... but then again must be all the plastic surgery and hair-transplant that makes it difficult for him to break into a grin without accidently kicking up a knee!... :D

Naah, did not watch the event. Amitabh is too politically correct to come across as a warm person. No spontaneity for him except in the movies.
However, I can imagine him saying to Amar Singh,"Sardar, Maine aapka namak khaya hai Sardar."

Not to derail the thread but yeah Watson,... don't even start with that whole Amitabh and Amar Singh angle! It is bordering positively on the sinister! and I would wager that there is more than 'game is afoot' there...

Okay, here's another good one,

"Aae Pushpa, ...I hate teeaars!" ... ;) [let's see if someone can remember the movie and/or the actor(s) in there]

I know the answer, but I will give others a chance...you missed something "re"..:)
(Anand, Pushpa, Nandu)

Wow, I was thinking of starting a similar thread...:)

One good one from Sharabi by Amitabh Bachhan- "Koshish kariye waada nahin...kyunki koshishein aksar kaamyab rehti hain aur waade aksar toot jaate hain"

Mughal-e-azam!!

Another movie heavy with dialogues......

A song, a scene and a dialogue in 3 successive shots-
Shot 1-Song, a qawalli competition-Teri Mehfil mein kismat aajma kar hum bhi dekhenge.
Shot 2-Scene- Anarkali looses. Salim comes down from his throne with a rose in his hand. He plucks the flower from the stem and gives the flower to the winner, and the stem with thorns to Anarkali.
Shot 3-Anarkali's reply, when presented with thorns,"Zahe naseeb. Kaanton ko murjhane ka khauf nahin"
