Uncle ji ek baar Deepender ki imaandaari , lagan ke upar kuch praksah daal sake ho...Aisa kya revolution laya hai Deepender ne..May be you can come up with few examples to support your view.

Dear Atish

I had no personal interaction with Deepender and my opinion is certainly based on what others say or have been appearing in Media! He has been doing a good job for his constituency. I haven't heard or read about him involving in any type activity that would tantamount to be an act of corruption.
He has been touring his constituency and remained in touch with his people.
There are various projects initiated by him are becoming a realty now. Railways project and some educational institutions are the result of his personal initiative. I had read a couple of years back about his initiative for rural health and he organized various rural health camps on regular basis.I have heard that he is very easily approachable person and takes every possible action for common causes!
I have seen some of his videos from parliament, showing him raising issues regarding his constituency and farmers of Haryana.

If you still feel that he is not a honest person than I would like you to share with us his weaknesses and act of corruption! ho sakta hai mera bhi opinion uske baare mein badal jaye!

Cheers!

Uncle Ji,

In last 5 years of Congress Government in Haryana, i havent heared anything as progressive or something betoken his fealty to community. Although i have heared that he is a candid person but i think thats not enough to justify his work towards community. He had spent a lot of time overseas to work there but i think he only agreed to come back in India when he saw much certitude of progress in India. He has never been involved in politics before.I think its just a matter of grabbing opportunities to make more money.

Deepender did his MBA from USA and then worked for 1.5 more years. Total 3.5 years out of his 32(i am guessing that is his age)

so that is not a large amount of time overseas as you have mentioned

if at all, management experience in a developed country from a good university can help a person develop strong skills. I think it is a positive fact and not a negative one as you are putting it

Ramesh

Dear Ramesh,

History has been evident of many political leaders in India who have been graduated from Harvard, Oxford and other prestigious institutes. Take an example of Mr. Manmohan Singh. He is just a facade of Congress Party and has been following instructions from Congress President Sonia Gandhi. Jawahar Lal Nehru, another example but in somewhat different manner. He is one of the root cause of acidulous relationship between China and India.
Having a management degree sometimes does not help in politics. In politics we need leadership skills. We need a person who knows real facts. A person who has been inloved in politics for a long time.Sardar Patel was a good leader. One of the responsible person to integrate all of the provinces into a Country. It depends upon your skills not necessarily degrees.

"History has been evident of many political leaders in India who have been graduated from Harvard, Oxford and other prestigious institutes."

Give some numbers who are from harvard etc and then those who are not and then relate each of them to being good in their job or not.

have any numbers?

Correlation does not mean causation
Many leaders have been from these institutes, more than them have not been from there....So you proved no point at all by bringing that fact up.

As far as a management degree is concerned, I strongly feel it is related.

MBA in USA is super rigorous and teaching is based on the case study method by which real life instances of companies/ firms and nations are discussed under theoretical concepts of finance, strategy and logic. This is very important for a person who is in a position to make important decisions especially related to development and money utilization. Thus MBA is very different than other degrees of liberal arts or even engineering

Further an exposure in the 1st world countries can tell a person what things, particulalry in infrastructure, should be improved and how efficient concepts can be put together.

Qualifications are also not any causation of success as a politician or in any other field. there are many doctorates from good schools who could not achieve a lot of material success in life.

However, that said, education gives a person a lot of ideas, skills, discipline and perspective of life. It also improves ones mannerisms and communication skills which are all the more important in todays world.

In todays world, besides what is need right now, politicians need to have a vision of the future...maybe into 5 or 10 years ahead. India has a weak infrastructure and developing it will take time and hard work. But someone who knows what to expect and understands it theoretically and practically can implement it as opposed to someone who just has a liberal arts degree like MA from India.

Managers are made in MBA schools. Managers are taught how to lead people and manage organizations which are formed from people. There is a direct correlation between this and Deependers present job profile.

Hope you do see some truth in the above.

Ramesh

Dear Atish:

Also you mentioned about the 'puppet' PM Manmohan Singh.

That is unfortunate I agree that a person like him is being literally ruled by a foreigner. Who is responsible for that? what do you think.

Another point is that India, to whatever extent it is on the world map now, is due to the deregulization of the economy that occured in the early 1990s. That is the main step which over the last 2 decades has increased the GDP of India many folds and brought investment into India from rich western countries.

It all happened when this Oxford taught economist made some real good decisions with a vision as a Finance minister. He WAS the main brain behind these positive changes. MMS was the finance minister back then in case you are not aware under narasimha rao.

Even people who have not been to India know and respect MMS for his work as an economist and his vision as an economist.

Sonia gandhi or not, puppet or not, do you think an illetrate person or someone who did not understand economics could have done that?

Think deep and well before you jump to conclusions just to negate my argument. you will see a lot of light.

Ramesh

Sir here you go:

Dr Manmohan Singh, Nehru, Rahul Gandhi,Varun Gandhi etc etc.

I would like to compare Nehru with Sardar Patel. Dr. Manmohan Singh with Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

In my last post i have used the word "not necessarily". and also used some words like "does not mean", "Sometimes"... Have a crack at my last post one more time rather than going bizzerk over the issue. I still do not trust the Authentication of your ID and you know very well what i am talking about.

Again an idiot trolling here.

What has my authentication got to do with what we are discussing? facts are facts, instead of attacking me, attack the argument.

If you have nothing better to say, shut up!! simple as that!

Who are you? I dont know you as much as you dont know me. I asked the moderators here to call me, meet me...whatever. What else do you wish to do? get a copy of my passport/ licence?

why should I care about what you think about my "authentication" and again how is it related to what we are discussing?

About your examples...what do they prove?

1) there are leaders who have good education and did well
2) there are leaders who have good education and Do not do well
3) there are leaders who have no education and do well
4) there are leaders who have no education and do not do well

(All 4 permutations covered)

Now out of the total (thousands) of leaders in India, kindly classify each according to the above 4 and then we will find a correlation.

Do you have that data? if not, why are you talking without having any facts behind you? world runs on logic, not your rudeness

wake up and smell the coffee kid its the 21st century. Not the dark ages

My ignorant friend, you gave me 2 or 4 examples. That is not even close to the sample size we need to do any sort of correlation analysis.

There are thousands of politicians in India at varying levels. Just count the total MLAs only in all states+MPs....

2 or 3 examples here and there does not mean anything for a statistical analysis.

That is what I meant if you still did not get it.

When you talk in a public forum on internet, you do that after making some assumptions:

1) Most people you will not know, or ever meet in real life, particularly if they live far or in different countries.
2) Most people will not be willing to disclose their identity also. Both female and male members, more so female....due to security and privacy concerns. It does not mean that they are not real.

In my case, I was and am ready to clarify any doubts on my identity. My IP shows my location already which the mods can see. They can come over my place and or call me. I had said this before also

Get it?

Pull hard, your head might just come out of the place where the sun does not shine!

and calm down, atleast in the 21st century, you dont need to go 'Bizerk'
or whatever you had written earlier (berserk)

Ramesh,

Just a query, how many indian studying in top class universities abroad are from political families or from business families? And how many reach there on their own? And now how many of those who reach their on their own enter in politics?

Now coming back to the MBAs/leaders, what do you think of a leader(grown in india, did his education from some indian university, elected as president/leader in university elections, knows what common man wants from a leader) will serve the country better than the Managers(MBAs).

I hope you will get my point here!
