There have been continuous discussions about poltics and politicians in the forum. Almost everyone has been blamed for not doing this and not doing that. But i'd like to hera from the people... common people like us that what are the problems that we people envisage that haryana is facing and will face in the years to come. Though i don't know many of them but first one i can make out is the vision and the foresightedness of the politicians and bureaucrats. They just don't seem to understand the difference between urgent and important. I'd like all of u in the community to participate and give some fair opinions. This thread is "NOT ABOUT POLITICIANS; IT IS ABOUT PROBLEMS", and let me make my stand firm once more as to what i think that Politicians are not the problem; problem is the way they think. Though i'm not residing in Haryana right now but would love to help people out, and i'm still on my way figuring out how to do that but i'm sure that since i've seen the light i'll make my own way to reach it.

Malik Bhai, There is no end to solve the problems in Haryana.Let me start with technical education in Haryana .

In 2003 there were hardly 20 engineering colleges in Haryana. As of now these numbers grew to around 120 along with MBA courses. One positive side that opening of these institutes will bring the technical education to masses, but dark side is that all this happening at the cost of low standard of technical education with outdated syllabus, huge gap of industry – institute interface, commercialization of technical education.

You can imagine the fate of those will pass out from these institutes. In turn, Young blood will decide the future of India. How these institutes can produce quality technocrats?.

Haan bhai Khatkar I can very well imagine adn infact empathise with the condition of the current education system, infact i myself have been a victim of that. That's why i Believe the education standards, especially in Haryana have gone down drastically. May be the number of Engg colleges in the state is a factor but the one thing which i feel is influencing it the most is the elementary education. Sometime back i was in a college in haryana to interview some candidates and i really was surprised to see the state. Leave apart the elementary Engineering knowledge, they were even having problems communicating. I expected people from rural background not to have a good command over spoken English or even Hindi, but then came the shock.... They could not even understand the Language. See basic elementary knowledge lacking... and let me remind you that we haven't even started discussing the ingenuity and creativity in them.... because i know that it's never nurtured. Teachers are just too busy in either completing their syllabus or weaving Pullovers. I just hope that somebody takes a due stock of the situation before it gets too late.
Thats not all; the developement in the state(some cities) is going on at such fast pace they the Govt has forgotten about the basic infrastructure to sustain all this growth and progress. What's the use of such kind of development which will make people suffer few years down the line

Before we get into education the biggest problem Haryana today faces is Water and sanitation. If the state goes dry, all these Universities, Schools, businesses will be nothing more than empty buildings. The water table in haryana has gone down so much that it has created a heavy depression in land. People think we have so much water that we can get water after boring 3ft in ground, whereas in fact it is the begining of the end. If water has come to 3ft that means there is nothing left in ground and land is going for further depression. As per Cal Poly Pomona Agriculture Dept Study, almost all the aquafiers in Haryana are bone dry, it takes thousands of years to fill these aquafiers it is not like put a hose in ground and fill the aquafiers. Gurgaon will be a bone dry city in next 20 years. Yamuna river that was feeding Haryana and Delhi is a sewer. The urgent need of the time is to bring water into haryana either from punjab or himachal, otherwise once a proud state will become a footnote in history and will be reduced to a dust bowl.

Most of these engineering colleges are owned by local politicians because college needs land and permits - which only these guys can get. These politicians are illiterate and semi-literate - they don't know squat about education.
Its not the quantity that should be a concern - but the owners and their motivations - that kills the quality.

True, the next generation - especially in highly populated 3rd world countries will fight wars over water and food - Osama and company will be forgotten in a second.
People need to stop having so many children that they cannot feed.
In India's case, the battle is already lost - we are already too many - it will take 200 - 300 years to bring the population down to manageable levels. 300 - 400 million for a country of India's size is house full - we are 4 times over that. UP Bihar, MP etc are still in no mood to stop - paagal ho rahe sei.

True, in 1997 the submersible motor was at 60 ft. below ground level to suck water for agriculture purpose almost in whole north haryana. Now today water level stands at 130-150 ft. which required 10 ft. extra pipe every year in paddy season.

Another lose is that less water suction at cost of more electricity consumption for same quantity of water as was in 1997.

Development Standard Acc. to West :: Problem

The problem are we are immitating west with very poor understanding and bad manner.

1. Why we should shift from agriculture to industrialization?
Shouldnt there should be some balance. We were good in agriculture than why not we improove it and make it at par industries. Do you think producing wheat is dirtier job than making Catalyst for Auto.

2. Why not we balance the Education with requirement. We need Doctors, Enviorment Speacialist, Agriculture specialist and still we are producing only Engineering,MCA and B. Ed.

LAck of resources in village

3. Such a Tax burden on Us and we pay Toll for road, dont get education in Govt school, use private Hospital. What our govt doing with money free money to Dalit,Free that and this to dalit. And what dalit do ---- by the way why do they work?

Agriculture ka bura haal ho gaya hai yahan. Nuclear family and no body intersted in agriculture. Thanks to our govt policies they are not educating , rewarding farmers.

They are not getting marriad yaar. What the hell.

No body like to live in village reason
Bad Education, Medical, Market and also the entertainment facilities.

Haryana's biggest problem is the skewed sex ratio i.e 831/1000.

Are these problems specific to haryana??
They are in haryana, might be there is other parts of the country as well. But when one talks of specific then i would say how intense these problem in an area is the criteria to term them specific.

Problem of Haryana lies in MINDSET of Haryanvis despite BEST Mind & Over BEST Physique.

Other problems are NO-CHECK on expansion of cities. Why can't Govt distribute Haryana in SECTORS. It will lead to equal progress in villages as well Cities. Some sectors reserved for agriculture , some only for housing , some too for INDUSTRALIZATION.

If well connected Haryana cannot check lack of progress in villages than something need to be done & it is Idea of Sectorism on geographical basis of longitude & Latitude.

To add to it, Tourism is one area where haryana need to focus.
