Friends -
i am glad to share the achievements of a young Jat achiever - 9yrs old- Anuveer Singh, son of a close friend of mine Leena Dhankhar.
He has been chosen to represent India in Asian Skating Championship. First time an Indian has qualified to compete at international level in speed and time category.
We all wish him best for his future.
Anuveer Singh, a student of Scottish High International School (class 4b), Gurgaon, has achieved the pinnacle of winning 2 Gold and 1 Silver medal in the prestigious All India National Skating Championship (9-11 Oct '09), held at Mussorie (Uttarakhand).
He was born in Rohtak on 6th May 2000, and also did his preliminary schooling from Model School, Rohtak. He moved to Gurgaon in 2008, where he joined Scottish HighInternational School. At Scottish High, he has become the favourite student for most of the teachers. He is a very confident and outgoing boy, who has a very helpful nature towards his fellow students and goes out of the way to help them.
He has achieved this feat through his motivation and zeal to outshine in the highly competitive scenario. His high levels of energy coupled with strong dedication to achieve outstanding results has led to him being an allrounder at school. Along with his strong interest in sports he is also academically very sound, and is the topper of his class. He has also been awarded with "Best Sports Boy" and "Full Attendance" certificates.
Apart from his interests in sports and academics, he has a strong passion to join the Indian Army, just like his nana ji and mama. He has a very keen interest in golf and loves playing video games. He is looking forward to participating in the National Golf tournament later this year .
A large part of his success is attributed to his nanaji(col. hs dhankhar),coach Mr. Nitin Gill, mrs neetu raina(class teacher) and mrs shikha jain(3rdclass teacher), who has helped in paving the way to achieve success in his endeavors.
His role model is his Nanaji, who has been an imperative force through his initial growing up and continue to inspire him at every stage of his life. He derives a lot his inspiration and determination from his mother who herself is an dynamic entrepreneur and her untiring bundle of energy is instrumental for his growth.
A testimonial from his class teacher Mrs. Neetu Raina :
"He is a gem and a very focussed child with strong determination and will power. I have a strong feeling that he will not only make his parents and teachers proud of him, but there will be a day when he will earn a great name for his nation at the international platform. God bless you my champ!! I wish you all the best for your future!"
Mrs rashmi says Anuveer is a very bright n intelligent child.as a teacher she is proud of him and is sure he will bring pride to nation. His nanaji col.hs dhankhar is on top of the world by anuveer's achievement,he says he is a gem and is very positive towards life and has set high goals for himself in life.
