haryana government was claiming that they have reserved a place in haryana for nuclear station..

but seems they were unable to convince central govt..

In a significant move ahead of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh’s visit to Washington next month, India tonight announced sites for setting up light water reactor-based nuclear plants in cooperation with the United States, France and Russia in furtherance of the implementation of civil nuclear agreements signed with these nations.

Power plants would be set up in cooperation with the US at Chhayamithi Virdi in Gujarat and Kovvada in Andhra Pradesh in cooperation with the US, while Jaitapaur in Maharashtra has been designated as the site for the plant to be set up with France’s assistance, it was officially announced by the External Affairs Ministry.
Kudankulam in Tamil Nadu and Haripur in West Bengal have been chosen as the sites for power plants to be set up in cooperation with Russia.
Soon after India secured a waiver from the nuclear suppliers’ group (NSG) in September last year, it signed a nuclear deal with France. The historic Indo-US nuclear deal was signed thereafter while the agreement with Russia was inked in December last year during Russian President Dmitry Medvedev’s visit to India.
Since then, India has signed nuclear deals with Kazakhstan, Namibia, Mongolia and Argentina also. It has also notified to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) its plan that formally separates India’s civilian and military nuclear establishments. The plan, which was announced in March 2006, has been approved by the IAEA and the safeguards agreement signed by India with the international nuclear watchdog is now operational. The announcement of the sites for power plants to be set up with the US would help the two countries in speeding up their negotiations over the reprocessing agreement. The reprocessing agreement is expected to be completed before Prime Minister Singh visits the US on November 24 as the first state guest of the Obama administration.

Not only power sector , we are ignoring in every sectors like Central Universities,PSU's,Agricultural food products,Railway investment and so forth....

Bhai rakesh nu kab tak chelga kam pakistan aur taliban te darka??? je attack karna hai unti to maharastra bi door koni.

regarding adverse effect haryana can sustain small one.

भाई माहरे ते पास तो गुजरात से ...तालिबान और पाकिस्तान ते डर के रहे तो चाल लिया काम.
 
थोडी मोटी जमीन रह रही हैं उसमे खा कमान दयो लोगा ने जिस सिरसा बाबत थम दुखी हो रहे हो वो जमीन बहुत उपजाऊ है ! नुक्लियर रिएक्टर की जगह पे दो चार कंपनी लाग जया वो ज्यादा बढ़िया है ! बात डरन की नहीं है बात है सावधानी की कल कीमे हो गया तो इसके लिए दिए अगले १०० साल भी ना ख़तम होवें ! वैसे भी परमाणु रिएक्टर रेडीएशन की मार बहुत भारी है जित लाग रहे हैं उनते पूछो के ज्ञान है ! जर्मनी में बंद भी करवाया गया था एक ! परमाणु के पर्दूषण का कोए इलाज नहीं है ! बाकी सबकी अपनी अपनी समझ !

To save fertlile land of Sirsa and alternative site with non fertile land can be Sadhaura / Narain Garh ( Ambala distt.) nearest to yamuna river as it's required to run reactor.( I don't know Hooda sahab will think towards north haryana)


In europe 91% electricity produced by nuclear reactor, so excess of every thing is bad.

Solar & Biomass can be opted for power production.

Thread will be fruitful if it comes into limelight of literal doer of elecricity generation.

Setting up a nuclear power plant is not entirely decided by governments. It depend on many factors. Existing Nuclear power plants in India are in quite remote areas where land is cheap, easily available and not good for agriculture. Nuclear power plant needs more free space in it's surrounding as compare to space in which it operates. Population density has to be very less in such areas. Whatever new location decided are also remote areas.
I feel it's difficult to find out such a location in states like Haryana, Punjab and Delhi.

land at sadhaura and naraingarh is not infertile. that area has a beautiful ecology and environment with lots of green cover. its only less fertile where its very close to shivalik mountains. there r other infertile areas like mewat, bhiwani, rewari, charkhi dadri , areas that are closer to rajyasthaan
put up a reactor there.
plz dont spoil the beauty of sadhaura and narayangarh areas, the foothills of shivaliks.

great news. My heartiest congratulations to the people of Haryana.

By the way, Fatehabad was one of the projected sites for nuclear power plant long way back. Now, it is finally approved by Nuclear Power corporation of India Limited.
