Youdheya Republic of ancient Haryana

Here is another history book written by famous historian Swami Omanand. Digitalisation of a book which was printed several decades ago, containing Devnagri script with numerous amount of Sanskrit text, is a cumbersome task. I have been able to prepare a Wiki version of his book “Haryana ke Vir Youdheya” (हरयाणे के वीर यौधेय) and uploaded it on Jatland wiki under section “Books on Jat History” –

http://www.Jatland.com/home/Haryana_Ke_Vir_Youdheya

When we talk about ancient history, the vast empire of Youdheya Republic comes to our mind. Today’s Haryana is only a tiny part of Youdheya empire which, right from pre-Mahabharata period till Harshvardhan’s times, had actually spread from Satluj river in the north, Bahawalpur, Bikaner, Ganganagar etc. in the west and whole of today’s western UP including Rampur and Badayun, in the east. At one stage, its boundaries even touched Mandsaur town in Madhya Pradesh. Why present-day historians have ignored such an important ancient empire which maintained its existence for several thousand years, and why its reference is missing from our school textbooks, is beyond our imagination.

This book is the first volume in this series which was Swamiji’s dream-project. Unfortunately, he could not complete the entire project in his lifetime. Being the initial volume, this book talks about critical questions like beginning of the universe, age of earth, our ancient gods and goddesses, spread of Aryan civilization, ancient Kshatriya dynasties etc., all based on Vedic proofs and archaeological findings.

I hope this on-line book would be useful for those interested in the history of not only ancient Haryana, but also entire northern India.

Deswalji,

Good work.

It was very labourious work to digitize sanskrit text. I have provided wiki links to the key words.

It explains the meanings and origin of Daityas, Vanara, Rakshasa, Asura etc in a nice way.

There is ancient history also.

While providing links I found a town in Rajasthan named Kadama ka Bas. It is named after Kardama, the great rishi.

Deswalji

Your quiet work , just goes on and on.

Thank you for this latest work.

We look forward to lots more

Thanks Deepshi - your showing interest for Satryarth Prakash is praiseworthy. At Jatland Wiki, some of the books of Swami Dayanand can be read. Satyarth Prakash can also be read (link is given therein).
