Hi all,

Any new year resolution(s) for 2010, that you would like to share on good old JL? (Irrespective
of how long the resolutions would last)

My new year resolution- not to sweat the small stuff and crappy people.....:)

Thanks

A new years resolution is like an infatuation, first you work hard on it then you loose interest.

Thinking for 2010 ....I, me, mine

Bina matlab jane, accha keh diya, dhanyawad.

Bhavaarth hai-
Not to worry about trivial/little/unimportant things and mean/vulgar/cheap/contemptible people.

Baki aap google kar ke vistaar mein jaan sakte hai inn shabdo ka arth.

Anjoo.....that‘s the only problem....Not to worry! Because when you think not to worry you actually worry. The only way to enjoy the life and its episode is to become a watcher, a spectator....become a witness to your surroundings. The moment you say this is bad or this is good you tend to become judgemental by indulging in thought process. When there is a thought, there is no serenity. Mind itself is a very energy consumer. Have you ever noticed when a person falls on the road, we laugh. Why... it’s because we witness that fall, and enjoy the scene rather than indulging in thought. The moment you say..Ohh bechara gir gaya...! The fun part is gone! Once i was in a GD and said something controversial, the entire group went against me with their criticism. And at the end of that GD someone asked me that everyone was against you, why you were so calm and unaffected. I said i was enjoying everyone’s comments; I was witnessing each and every argument rather than thinking. Thinking is very tiring. I get tired when i think. So i avoid thinking too much and speak spontaneously. The wider the gap of witness and mind.... the lesser the gap of your happiness with your consciousness. As someone has aptly said-“How simple "laws of attraction" can be converted to rocket science” isn’t it.:) So what you can do next time when you come across any trivial/little/unimportant things and mean/vulgar/cheap/contemptible people, let them cross before your eyes, don’t shut your eyes; become the witness of their existence.
As far as resolution is concerned.... it requires the brain to think, to plan, to adherence and discipline! Isn’t worrisome? Why should I reinforce this burden on me that too voluntarily.9 to 5 job is not enough...?

Yup..hail saint Sudeep ur right
used to deal with people at work..other colleagues used to fume over the customers and take it personally, but I found them interesting.
Used to say..uve got either good customers or amusing customers haha..the more irate or mad he/she was, ((which was quite rare) the more fun it was, coz I knew they were cursing the product, and not us
n err...sometimes my colleagues accused me of being detached

the irony is they never did and sometimes said "yeah I know its shooting the messenger" or "not personally you but them"..n I nodded n was like "yeah yeah..hear ya,,but cant comment haha"

n u know..in the same lines as ur thoughts about worry applies to indecisive people.
They say not taking a decision is a decision in itself

Appreciate your advice, thanks.
