You can take any example starting from sir chotu ram and other leader who worked for community but they might have received this kind of –ve remark previously, its natural, its nt ur fault, but they did it and proved it finally. I clearly mentioned the reason why there is no single possibility to join politics and above than join RLD ..and why u saying so like” you are engaged whole-heartedly in ajit singh and party bashing.” AND “It will jeopardize your future prospects in western UP politics so be careful and if possible take a little distraction”
People who are engaged in JAT AARAKSHAN SANGARSH SAMITI they are very strong economically and socially they dont need any party plateform. You and me well aware all current JAT political leader dont want us to win this social war and they are spreading this kind of rumors ok let it be , let them do anything,, our goal is one “JAT OBC RESERVATION”

Re-read all your posts...have you left any of your post without blurting out your hatred against chaudhary ajeet singh. You did not even even spare the great bade chaudhary sahab..still you ask why????? I wonder.......Anyway, your pre-claims decorating him as unselfish worker of jat community etc instigates me to write like that. Wait and watch...only time will decide whether he is unselfish or a scrooge...........I still says........apne baahar aage laanda haathi baandhan ka kisi na shauk kona........Mr. yashpal malik has got some visions and this protest is the first step to achieve his political goal. I am not saying that he should not do that..... but you should refrain to make him another "mahatma gandhi" and you know how most of the jats treat mahatma?

Prashant,
But Yashspal Malik and people like Hawa singh Sangwan doing good job for the community after sir chotu ram and after going through all honest activity of this movement/demand Jaychands of community have guts to criticize them. There is no comparison between these 2 leader as one spending his own money for Jat community and other one is making money on the name of Jat politics. One is doing hard work since just last 3 years and doing effort for of community and other one making fool jat community since last 30 years But did nothing. Kabhi Harit Pradesh, Kabhi sugar price demand.will Jat be remain only farmer of 2-3 bhigha land..is it a rubber jisko kheech kar lamba kar dogey. Harit Pradesh se Jat ko jayeda fayda hey ya “JAT OBC RESERVATION” . Harit Pradesh agar ban gaya to 34% muslim hey yaha western UP aur koi taqat nahi key aha muslman ke alwa koi aur CM banega.
Iska kuch nahi bigdna yeh to kabhi bhi kisi ki god mein baith jaga.

and who are you first? ...you dodgy personality....your humiliating remarks against the people of baghpat (you have done it earlier too) expose how good well-wisher you are of jat community. People will be hurling shoes on you in baghpat.....

Now look at your Bhagwan diminishing power: http://in.jagran.yahoo.com/epaper/index.php?location=36&edition=2010-02-18
Pehely yeh rate uski waje se nahi balki "Demand & supply" rule ke waje se bade the.

So dont do personnel attack. You did;nt give any single reason why u worship your god. But we all know you love him as he is son of Ch. Charan Singh and also u will keep on worshiping even jayant chaudhry and so on as this chain will not go for any end for people of baghpat.

Ajit Singh, ( and now his son's) name has come up for discussion recently, in the Reservation thread.

Since some members feel strongly about him( for and against), the relevant posts are being shifted here to allow a focused discussion.

Well said Piyush. Ajit Singh has been betraying his constituents time and again and has earned the synonym and a bad reputation of being an " oppotunist" who has been trading Jat votes for his personal gratification. He is a man without any principle unlike his father. He has brought a bad name to his father who was a great visionary and a man of high principles and conviction. He has cast a slur on the reputation of entire jat community. Jats should reject the descendants of Jat dynasties who have failed to deliver so that other deserving people from humble background also get a chance to serve the community. Similarly Devi Lal clan also deserve to be rejected by the Jats of Haryana as Chautala and his sons do not enjoy good reputation as they believe in strong arm tactics only. Feudalism must come to an end now in this globalised world.

sir ji chautala ne kyu compare karro ho ajit singh ji se chautala ji ka to fher bhi accha khasa janadhar hai haryana me... kam se kam haryana me abhi near future me hooda yaa chautala koi bhi "Dhedon" ki sarkar nahi aan degga

I can feel that some kind of bashing is going on against all those people who oppose the idea of Reservation.

I don't understand why we are putting false claims, bashing, targeting particular member. This type of ambiance discourage active participation by other members. We all have right to put our thoughts here and right to differ.

Development and Politics

Poor Politics for Poor People : Keep Poorer Jat (Economically, socially, politically)---------------> Lack of Political leadership-------> Less political options-------> only one Jat Leader.
Development/prosperity/ gives you options, opinion, thoughts new ideas...

What is Ajit Singh's record?

When did he enter politics?
Ajit Singh was educated as an engineer at Lucknow University, IIT Kharagpur and the Illinois Institute of Technology. He worked in the U.S. computer industry for 17 years, returning to India in the late 1980s to revive the Lok Dal party founded by his father Charan Singh.

What were his achievements?
Ajit Singh first entered Parliament as a Rajya Sabha member for Uttar Pradesh in 1986, and is a four time member of the Lok Sabha. Singh formed his own faction of the Lok Dal called Lok Dal (Ajit) in 1987 and a year later merged it with the Janata Party, as part of a deal by which he became President of the merged party. When the Janata Dal was formed by a merger of the Janata Party, H.N. Bahuguna's faction of the Lok Dal and the Jan Morcha, Singh was elected its secretary general. He was elected to the Lok Sabha in 1989 and re-elected in 1991.

He became a Union minister for Industry in 1989-90 when he was inducted into the National Front government of Vishwanath Pratap Singh.

In the mid-nineties, he moved to the Congress Party, then in power, with a large slice of the Janata Dal MPs. He went on to become the food minister under the Congress government (1995-96) when P V Narasimha Rao was the prime minister. After winning the 1996 Lok Sabha poll on a Congress ticket, he left the party within a year to form the Bharatiya Kisan Kamgar Party. He resigned from Lok Sabha membership and contested the consequent bye-election as a BKKP candidate in Baghpat, defeating his Samajwadi Party rival.

Singh lost the 1998 election to Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Som Pal but avenged the defeat in 1999 after floating his new party, the Rashtriya Lok Dal.

In July 2001, he agreed to tie-up with the Bharatiya Janata Party in upcoming Uttar Pradesh assembly elections and joined the BJP-led government as the important Cabinet Minister for Agriculture. He subsequently joined an alliance between the BJP and Bahujan Samaj Party. In May 2003, only a few months before the BJP and BSP parted ways, Ajit withdrew from the government and the Cabinet.

When Mulayam Singh Yadav came to power, Ajit befriended him and supported him up until early 2007, when he left the government once again. His party contested 2009 loksabha-election under B.J.P led NDA.

What is his constituency?
Baghpat
What has he done for his constituency?
If you take out the record from official website,in last 30 years he even not used full MP fund for his Baghpat Consituency.

Has he brought Schools, Universities, Colleges to his constituency ?There is no single Schools, University, college given to Baghpat Constituency by him.Even There is no single Agriculture Institute to the people of Baghpat as they are only based on agriculture.

Brought industry to his constutuency?
Only Malak Pur sugar mill given to the population of 1,163,991 in 2001 according to the India Census.

Created jobs for his constituents? If so , what kind of jobs?NO JOB CREATION

Just want to freshen the memory of all that, at that time Ajit and his group of defected members took heavy bribes to save the congess govt from no confidence motion.

Ajit Singh is good for nothing. I do not understand why people are behind him. He does not possess even 1% qualities of Ch. Charan Singh. I do not know how long he will take advantage of his Dad's reputation and works.

Vivek Bhai,

Haveli culture or personality cult should come to an end. Why only one family rule. Why not others. Are we lesser mortals? In a democracy, everybody should get a chance to participate in the political process and government formation. Our community is driven by feudal mind-set. If you want to see only Jats dominating Haryana Politics, there are other alternative families. If no one agrees to dare Chautalas, I am ready to do so.

A Legacy Wasted

Dear Members,
If someone talks any thing against about Ch. Charan Singh or Ch. Devilal on this site, he would be considered a non jat or even a traitor by some members. From my childhood, I had been ardent supporter of Ch. Charan Singh and he did a great job as the CM of Uttar Pradesh. I would say, only V P Singh and later Kalyan Singh in his first term as CM did some thing comparable to what Chaudhary Sahab did. However, I have some thing that I did not understand about Ch. Charan Singh as well as Ch.Devilal, and that is their stance on dynastic rule. Both these leaders always complained against Nehru Gandhi family about the dynastic rule, but brought their own children to the forefront in their respective parties ignoring their ardent supporters and loyal workers. Actually, once during Janta Party time Ch. Devilal even disowned publicly Mr. Om Prakash Chautala on watch smuggling issue. Same Ch. Devilal did every thing possible to make Mr. Chautala, the CM of Haryana including helping bringing down the V P Singh's government.
On the otherhand, Ch. Ajit Singh comes from USA and suddenly becomes the heir of the Party formed by Ch. Sahab. What about the democratic process? How come Ch. Ajit Singh became the general secy while there must be numerous leaders within the party, who did every thing to stay with Ch. Sahab to help him reach the status he actually reached.
Obviously, when you have every thing on a platter; like Ch. Ajit Singh got, a position of strength, a loyal constituency, and a community supporting him blindly, he had no reason to work for the very constituency that brought him the power. Unfortunatle the elections in our country are fought on caste basis, and absence of a challenging Jat leader led these leaders to concentrate on their own pockets. It is unfortunate but true, that our leaders have let us down. All of them talked about the community till the time they reached the top, but could not look down toward the problems of the community. I guess the greed over took the need of the community. I have nothing against people bringing their own family members to the parties; but then they should not talk about the dynastic rule of Nehrus and Gandhis. I hope new leaders come up within the community who are dedicated to the cause of community rather than own earnings. May God bless all of us

Virender, Ch Devilal didnot bring Chautala sahab but due to his batter leadership qualities, being batter jat & powerful in many respect, he captured power himself. Secondly, VP Singh was given chair of PM by Ch Devilal, he never brought down his govt, infact VP betraid Ch sahab. My dear brother, EXCEPT WEAKNESS FOR MONEY,Chautla is a real jat, a strong leader & very capable Administrator, Also Chautala sahab has helped jats more than any other jat leader. Media may write any thing but in reality Ch Charan singh & Ch Devilal both were Kisan leaders, It is Chautala who came up as jat leader, thus no comperison with AJIT. Also Ch Charan singh never helped Ajit to take over his place, these were chamchas from our community as well as fom the party managed easy takeover for him. But unfortunately Ajit failed on all accounts. regards
