Difference between Motivation and Inspiration

Inspiration : is something which leads to change in thinking
Motivation : is something which leads to change in action

Motivation is like fire and inspiration is like fuel. As long as fuel is there fire keeps on burning.
Let me give you an example:
If we go to a temple, we are inspired by the writings on the wall, the lectures which are being delivered there and the entire environment...... the Inspiration is like "What I brought here...." , "I own nothing in this world....", 'I came empty handed...."
This way we are inspired to do something good in our life so that we are remembered...

We came out and see a bagger outside the gate. We drop a coin in the boul. why???
Our thinking changed in the temple, our actions are just based on the motivation we got inside the temple.

Now CUT to some busy traffic signal in summer..
We may something else to the bagger... instead of dropping the coin...
Why is it happening????
The fuel supply is stopped
Motivation goes down...

Hence, we need constant inspiration in order to be motivated to do something big in life..

How????

Motivation : is of two types-
Internal Motivation
External Motivation

Internal Motivation : Due to Inspiration
External Motivation is again of two types :
Fear Motivation and Incentive Motivation

---
Lets Talk about Fear Motivation:
The Managing Director on one company planned to implement a pension plan for the employees but with a condition that each and every employee must accept it.
So he drafter a memo with the plan and circulated it among the employees for signature. Every employee signed it except one.
Everybody tried hard but this fellow refused to buzz.
Finally they went to the director and told him about this person.
The director called him and said
Have you gone through the scheme...
Yes!! he replied
You dont want to sign it?? Director asked....
No, I dont want to sign it...
You sign it or you are fired.... Said the Director
This person immediately signed the policy memo.

What is the moral of the story....???
The fear motivation gives instant results ..
but in long run :----
->Size of the stick keeps on increasing
->Kills the creativity
->The job is being done as long as fear is there.. If the fear is no more... no work..
->It decreases the efficieny

What is Incentive motivation...? will discuss in next post...

The fear motivation should be used for disciplines not for motivation !! (I think.)

Internal Motivation::: Inspiration
One Soccer player was never allowed to play in final eleven of the team. They used to practice at a stadium and his father also used to come along with him in the stadium.
His coach never allowed him to play in final eleven of the team.
....
At One occasion the team entered in the finals of a national level tournament...
THIS player came to coach and requested him.. "Sir please allow me to play in the match.."
Coach Replied: Sorry Dear, I am Better Judge.. I know your place..
The player Pleaded again : "Sir I will not let you down... for God's sake please allow me..."
Now this was a strange behaviour .. He was never like this...
The Coach Though for a while and said::: "Look I am going against my experience.. Dont let me down..."

...
That Day the player played like a horse on fire...
Needless to say, He was man of the match...

Now the Coach got a Shock...
After the match He called this player and asked .."What was this??? You were never like this..?"
He Replied : "Sir my father was watching me today.."
The Coach looked around, where his father used to sit. He didnt fid him..
Coach Said- "But your father is not there today.."
The player replied - "Sir my father was blind. When he was alive, he never used to see me in action. Now he is no more.. He is watching me from heaven. I wanted to show him that I am a good player"

One day they found a bull sitting at the place where they used to play.
Seeing this, younger brother said to his elder brother "Why dont you hit him?"
Elder one Said: "He is too big to hit.."
Younger one said: "No, He is not too big to hit, He is too big to miss.."

....
What happened after this??
They Hit the bull with stick and started playing again...

It depends on how you look at the things...

Of Course, A Person with Artistic Personality or Social Personality Should not think for these career options... There are better options for them.
In my view, for People with Conventional Personality with a blend of Mechanical Personality, Going for IAS may proved to be right choice.
Shiv, You know When I Predict future and past of People after asking two-three questions and seeing their signature, They dont believe me that I am not an astrologer or Panditji. I totally talk on these aspects which I have just discussed.

Low Self Esteem

An Employee of a company was promoted and he got a separate cabin to sit.
Now he started feeling very high. He started showing that he is extremely busy and he deserved the position given to him.
One day he was sitting in his cabin. Now Somebody knocked at the door. and peeped through it after opening it slightly..
To show how busy he is, he picked up the phone and started pretending as if he is talking to somebody. and asked the person to wait for two minutes.

After two three minutes, he put the receiver back and asked the person to come in.
Then he said to the person, "Yes tell me what do you want??"
He Replied, "Sir, I am here to connect your phone".

So many times it happens to us, we tell a white lie just to show we have a status and we are above others.
I strongly believe in
"If you tell the truth, you dont have to remember anything!!!"

More ... next time after feedback from Fellow Members...

Attitude

Yes, for a person to lead he/she should have strong Principles !!

The values he/she have in his attitude and life depends upon his principles.

Principles like:
1. Satyamev Jayate
2. Ahinsa Parmodharam

Values come after principles:
1. Always speak truth and support the person who has is going with truth. (1st principle)
2. Respect and care each creature in this world (2nd Principle)

I just mentioned 1 value for each principle, but there are multiple values for each principle.

And how you implement these values shows to the society your attitude.
