I have known Kanistha and her family for a decade now. let me disclose that they have been very deeply connected to the village culture. Her Grandfather after having retired as Master-Chief Petty Officer settled in his village, which is a rare case. Having grown as sailor he motivated and educated his sons to join as officers. Both his sons are doing well in the Indian Navy. While one has been a very decorated senior officer of the reputed Marine Commando branch, a commodore, the father of Kanistha. The other sibling is Commander posted as Naval attache of India at Japan. Their sister too is married to a Indian Naval officer, who is doing pretty well. The whole family regularly visit their village and ancestors and thus have ensured first hand experience of village life to the third generation. Kanistha has also appeared in a cameo role in the movie "fashion". Her mother hailing from sonepat has been source of inspiration and strength to the whole of extended family.
 
It is good to know that Kanishtha still remains connected with her ancestrol village. During an interview, she also expressed her desire to work for rural development. The girl has really made the community proud. Wish her all success.

I think it's so simple: If Kanishtha feels proud to hail from Jat community and works as an ambassador for this community and mention herself being a Jat proudly(mentioned by Ritu ji that she did that)...then she is a JAT...no certificates or visual X-Rays required..
If not...then even if she is Miss Universe...tagging her as a Jat girl would be like usse zabardasti se bolna..You are a Jat,you have to accept it...no other options
In that case merely having a Gotra of jat community would be like saying that Lindsay Lohan is a Jatni (aisa hota to humne ne te pure swaad aate ar jinke gaut bhide hain weh uski film dekhna band kar dete :p)

रिंकू, पिछले हफ्ते ही हो के आया हूँ भाई गाँव में i एक साल में तीन बार हो आया देश से बाहर रह के. हवाई जहाज का भाडा भी घना ए लाग ज्या सै, कंगाल सा आदमी सूं भाई आर इतनी ए मजदूरी मिलै सै.
