Better late than never. A good step being taken to clean corruption from our country. Let's all support the Baba Ramdevji.
Excellent article. Ramdev's conundrum is intended to torpedo his perceived rival-apparent Anna's negotiations with government to hammer out the Lok Pal issue which now seems to have run into rough weather. Ram has cleverly tried to mix some other issues also like a hate compaign against English and advocacy of education in Indian vernaculars etc. to hoodwink people that he has a broader agenda than that of Anna. Congress is the net beneficiary of this melodrama.
VP Sir, the sad part is that common man will surely get lost in these machinations!

The article is elitist. I would ask the counter question- why are two left-wing lawyers led by someone wearing Gandhi cap better than a saffron clad yoga guru? Is it just that the former appeal much more to the pseudo-secular lefties who start getting jittery seeing any cultural symbol representing the majority?
Truth is that both Baba and Anna are making false promises of Utopia. In fact, once you get over the demands that are universally agreeable like "remove corruption", and get to the details of their demands, they are quite scary. I am not going to talk about the individuals here, maybe both of them are excellent characters in all respects and have best of intentions. But the path to hell can be laid with best of intentions. Hardly any so-called supporters of Anna's so-called movement actually bothered to understand the Lok Pal draft. They just imagine that a superman like Lokpal would come and wipe out corruption like All-Out wipes out mosquitoes (in its advertisments). You know where else we see narratives of such brilliant super-men- in dictatorships. Baba has gone a step ahead and demanded anything that he could imagine. But I'd still have respect for him if he enters electoral arena to deliver the change he is promising. That is the way to do it in democracy.
There is no way to get the money stashed in swiss bank legally.....swiss bank has the right not to reveal account holder name to any person/government. so what baba wants..arrest the possible culprits and torture them to get their secret swiss serial number??....and how these "possible culprits" will be identified??..............wait and see ..I guess this strike will not garner enough support from the masses.....tai tai fiss hoga is andolan ka
Swiss bank has already revealed the names of many people. However, it's the corrupt government which is unwilling to revel these names to public.
