yes...must watch.. Dont Miss the scene when Nasir stops the barber and sees Samita with half shaven face!
Also when Lekhu tries to talk to his love while peeping over the wall of the fort where she works! Simply superb!

Lalkaar - Once again Dharmendra with able support from Mala Sinha and Rajender Kumar
Waqt(balraj sahni, raj kumar, sunil dutt, sashi kapoor) - Can watch it any number of times
Virasat - Anil Kapoor at his best again
Ghayal - good
Roja - Madhu takes on both politicians and terrorists. excellent performances
Naya daur - Dilip leading like he always does
Ram aur Shyam - Pran playing the wicked role with style!
Mughl-e-azam - Epic movie
Iqbal - Sensational movie. Yes, its about cricket, but still stands out!
Ittefaq - Rajesh Khanna giving his best in a suspense movie for a change.
Mother India - Truely mother of all the movies till date!!

Watched it yesterday. A very good movie. I would suggest everbody to watch at least once.

Ek new movie release hui hai "KHAP"......kisi bhai ne ya dekhi bhi ni hogi ebbe to kyuki sare roamantic or english movie k fan hain.....
ye movie north side me ho rahi "Honour Killing" pe hai.
Is movie me bilkul sab kuch sahi show kiya hai jo aajkal apne side ho raha hai..........ending thodi galat hai kyuki ending me khap k members thode change hoye dikhaye hain, lekin real me dekha jye to apne khap members na to change hue hain aur na kabhi change honge.
Main is movie ko 10/10 deta hoon.

Khap based on the theme of honour killings starts with a customary prologue where a couple is burnt to death by villagers for marrying within the same gotra (clan). The flame in this undemanding scene is morphed using computer graphics and the fire with which the film deals with the prevalent issue of honour killings is as much fraudulent.
Honour killing is a widespread issue in Northern Indiawhere several communities do not consent to marriages within the same clan and any couple who attempts so is brutally slaughtered by their kin. Several such cases have made newspaper headlines and, sadly, director Ajai Sinha's knowledge on the issue is restricted merely to such media reporting. There is absolute disregard in delving deep into the history, origin, logic or rural belief behind same-clan marriages and the film touches the theme of honour killings only on an external level with the intent to sensationalize.
The fiction that the film tries to weave around the issue is the most convenient and cliched consequence that once could think of. A village-head (Om Puri) doesn't endorse marriages within the same gotra and anyone who attempts so in his township is terminated. His son (Mohnish Behl), who didn't approve of father's ideologies and had severed ties ages ago, is a human rights activist sent to the village to investigate on a case of supposed honour killing. But when his son dies, the fundamentalist father turns a new leaf overnight. Trouble starts when his granddaughter (Yuvika Chaudhary) gets married and the villagers rebel on her same-clan matrimony.
Just so that the audience doesn't presume it to be a docu-drama on the issue of honour killings, director dear ensures that he adds every commercial element from an internet love story to half a dozen song-dance routine and in turn tests the viewer's tolerance levels. Everything from the acting to direction is amateurish. When the entire scene fails to evoke any emotions, Mohnish Behl's ringtone suddenly buzzes with a saare jahaan se achcha tune inducing unintentional humour. The characters are so shallow that you never feel for the victims even once.
Also to put a pretense that the film doesn't get one-sided on the theme of same-clan marriages, you have an impromptu monologue by an abruptly introduced Alok Nath, who explains how marriages within the same kinship can lead to genetic disorder. But the entire scene just seems to be an excuse to appease the Khaps (village social units) by giving them a clean-chit character certificate after abusing them throughout. The political association and aspirations of the Khaps is momentarily touched upon but never elucidated.
There is no attempt to educate the illiterate villagers on the biological permissible limits of same-clan marriage. Neither is there any attempt to eradicate the practice of honour killings. The only utmost reformation that the film attempts is that the hero effortlessly gets an order from the Supreme Court in merely 2 days that legalizes his same-gotra marriage.
The performances do no impress much. In order to give him a positive shade, Om Puri is marred by a confused characterization. Govind Namdeo hams like always. Yuvika Chaudhary ensures she looks hep even post her father's funeral in the film. Sarrtaj fails to grab your attention. Shammi Aunty struggles to deliver her lines. Mohnish Behl is regular. Alok Nath doesn't know what he is doing in the film. Manoj Pahwa is the only actor who attempts to act.

mere hisab se to ye ek bahut hi badhiya standard ki haryanavi movie hai.....................story is very much relevant to our society......much better than those karan johar type movies where all the shooting is done in switzerland.......
Bhai is KHAP movie me same to same vaisa he dikhaya hai jo apni side me ho raha hai aur jo logo ne dekha hai.
maine apni side me aisi ghatna dekhi hain, ye movie dekhi to vo vo yaad aa gayi....
ye movie khap panchayat pe ek ghari chot hai......i think.
maine ye bhi suna hai ki is movie ko north side me dikhane k liye khap k members ne virodh kiya hai.......

watch khap movie,bad acting by the heroine only smiling face in serious seen also 
good acting by manoj pahwa,ompuri and govind namdev but this movie is far away from ground reality of our culture and system and lack of research also.But enjoy the haryanvi dialect after long time in Bollywood movie.The khap or panchayat are not like shown in the movie.This was only a cheap public stunt to earn money.D.R.Chodhary whose thanks was written in starting really doesn't know our culture or he has done some thing wrong himself that's why he is thinking himself a victim of any khap or panchayat.
