First I need to make myself clear. I don't mean to imply all the NGOs. I am sure there are many NGOs still doing good work for the society. But the two that have been in news recently for letting something happen for who know how long puts us to shame. Its so difficult to phanthom that such a mistreatment of all the helpless girls coulld go on in so called progressive/industrialised cities. Its even unimaginale to think that such places could be rewarded although not known at the time, but you would think there must be some kind of nomination process and further evaluation before felicitating some organisation. It raises lots of moral, social questions. All such heinous crimes and not sure if the owner of place is behind bars yet or not. Where were the NHRC for women while this was happening (maybe I don't know if they even come in picture before complaints are made) and all those women welfare governmental committees. May be some of the NGOs are not so non-profit anymore.
Please share if you are angry with whatever physical, mental and sexual injustice was done to those girls and agree that the culprits be brought to justice. Thanks.
