mai 2002 mai to wahan nahi tha bhut 2004 mai jab mera campus placement hua L&T mai, to mugjhe wahan jane ka chance mila... wahan riots huae the, plague faila tha, earthquake aaya tha or floods to aate hi rehte hain... meri sari family mere wahan jane se against thi... but i want to experience a hostel life, away from family... gujarat ke liye mugjhe negative feeling jayada thi positive kam thi...

Dont attach liquor with religion ...... i am pasting some statistics from wikipedia showing some facts about middle east countries :-

They allow liquor for tourists but the rise in tourism cant match the rise in the consuption of liquor ....... Generalization is really dangerous.

To aap media ke role ko totally negative karar de rahein hai. Like everything in this word media has it black and white characters. And why I mentioned early 2000s is because in those days media wasnt infiltrated by corporates. Sir ji 1965 or 71 mein bhi media ka constructive role tha. The only difference was that it print media was private but tV media was state controlled. Anyways, this discussion on media's role is sideways to the main topic.
It isnt hard to delete records. Do you think it would have been the first time somebody in power would have deleted phone or official records? And you are doubting a frail 70 year old woman who has lost her husband. U

Waah ji ...kya baat hai. To iska matlab hai police apni responsibility chorh de. The police had firearms whereas the mob only had sticks, axes, swords etc. It would have taken a couple of shots in the air and the mob would have dissipated. But nothing was done because it was planned to let the mobs kill and take revenge on innocent people.
You are right but the example was about police action when they have the power. In Guj's case the police were never given that power or worse asked to side beside and watch the show.
Bhai aap sahi ho. Muslim mobs killed Hindu kar sewaks. But, now read this carefully, that doesnt justify Hindu mobs killing Muslim innocents with police help. If it was a mob vs. mob, it would have been fair. But in this case police turned the other way. That is the difference between the two cases.
Correction. Retaliate with police and state help. That is where the problem lies. The govt. cant take sides in a riot but it did and that's where Modi is guilty.

Exactly. Wohi police jo apne likha wo sab karti hai. Fake encounter bh karti hai. Custody killing bhi karti hai. Same police.

@ media : Absolutely... I dont trust them at all. have a look at it "http://www.mediacrooks.com/". I dont know who is after this. He is doing a significant work. Please don't confuse with electronic or printed. You can trust them and follow them blindly brother, but i cant. And i am sorry for that. Aaj bhi war ho jaye or media na ho, tab bhi sab log gun utha langae, india ke liye... Unka jitna constructive role hain us-se kahin jayada distructive role hai... Reporter/Journalist ka kaam sirf news dena hota hai, usko khud hi sahi or galat declare karne ka nahi hota... agar vo sahi or galat ka decision lene lage to... vo biased ho jayangae or courts ki bhi jarurat nahi ruhegi... justice or result to media hi declare karne lag jayegi... Ab aap mugjhe ek news dikha do ki media news report karne ke baad apne views nahi deti... which ultimately impose their perception on the viewers and ultimately influence them to form an opinion, which media wants...

Waise SIT said that they took statements of many ppl (45000 witnesses (many would be related to gulberg massacre) for 2002 riots, what in intensive investigation) and found that Mr. Jafri provoked the mob and there was no involvement of Mr. Modi in that incident. I dont know about you but i respect Judicial System of India.

Or ye itne arrests police ne apne firearms use kar ke hi kar hain, unhone red roses de kar rioters ko nahi pakda tha... If sill you are not able to sense the police action than I am sorry about your senses. I suggest you to visit a doc. I already said try tried their best but failed at some places.
