What brings Mamta's party to Haryana?

Dear Fellow members,

For almost two weeks now, I have been listening to the advertisements of Haryana Trinamool Congress on the FM Radio inviting people to ...Join Haryana TMC ( specifically on FM 92.7. It comes every few minutes and this is the FM station my radio at home and in car is permanently tuned into... since I like to listen to only old Hindi film songs).
Kab tak sahoge...sach jaaniye sach.. pehchaniye...blah blah.

What makes me wonder is...
What brings Mamta's party to Haryana?

Around 2 months back( if i remember correctly), this foray of TMC was announced in Haryana with one KD Singh( Rajya Sabha member) made in-charge of around 5 states ( Haryana, HP etc).
Few people from CMs office(was it office.... memory fails and i am in no mood to search ) too resigned and joined this party. I think one of them later came back.
Then sometimes I would read that this KD Singh visited farmers agitating against Nuclear plant in Gorakhpur supporting them, sometimes visiting some accident victims and offering compensation and jobs in his industries( I have no idea of his businesses. Had never heard of him before this)... this is how they began.

And now suddenly this advertising on FM!

I understand that to gain National Status these small regional parties have to go to various states. TMC had fielded candidates in Goa and UP as well.

But what I fail to understand is ..

Who shall vote for them in Haryana?
What is the group they are targeting?
What shall be their support base?
On what grounds shall they ask for votes in Haryana?
What have been achievements of TMC since Mamata became Bengal CM?

Interesting indeed. Apart from the BJP and the Congress there are hardly any national parties left. CPI claimed itself to be one but its fortunes vary and it has now lost its fort WB too. BSP too isnt worth the national party tag.

So its rather incredible to see TMC trying to spread its wings. Mamata I daresay has more of negative image outside Bengal with her antics as Railway minister very well known. On a lighter note, they might target the Bengali labor in Gurgaon NCR belt. Legal and illegal, both. :)
 
इह ढाल की पार्टी दो कारणा तें शुरू करी जाया करें :-

२) चुनाव के बखत इस्से भतेरे नव -धनाड्य लोग ऊछाल्या करें जिन्न ने इलेक्सन मेख्द्या होना हो से अर नेता जी की टेग लाणी हो से | वे सवतंत्र खड़े होवें ते किते नाम कोणी दिखे ,पर किहे इस्से दल का नाम जुड़ जावे ते माड़ी सी इज्ज़त बध जावे अक यु भी किम्मे ते हो-अ गा जो इस्से दल ने तकत दिया स | प्रदेशा अध्यक्स जब टकट बांडेगा वो मुफ्त में ना बांडे ,वे फेर एक टकट के एक करोड़ या पचास लाख मांगेगा | हरयाने की ९० सींटा के ९० करोड़ होगे | दो करोड़ लाके ने ९० करोड़ कमा लिए |मान ल्यो आधे ममता ताहीं पार्टी कोष में दे दिए ,फेर भी भतेरे बच गे | किम्मे लोग दिखावा करण खातर किते-किते एक आध की सहायता कर के ने मीडिया में नाम कमा लिया | कालने गलती तें एक आध एम्.एल. ए या एम्.पि. बन ग्या ते आजकाल की घोड़ा मंडी में दल बदलन खातर आराम तें ५०-१०० करोड़ मिल्ज्याँ सें अर खुद किहे कारपोरेशन आदि का डायरेक्टर बण जावें | उड़े भतेरी कमाई हो ज्या स आदमी भारती करण में अर घोटाले करण में |
 
Haryana lacks political options no one wants Congress but under all conditions its still better then gunda raj ..... so its a right time for them to give an option ...... in case if we have HVP ( Haryana Vikas Party ) in Haryana ..then i am sure they will get majority in 2014 .

I think this was the name of the party being floated by Late Ch Bansilal ji.
Talking about majority, I dont think any new party can build such a strong base within 1-2 years that it will get majority. It takes time to win trust of people. Aur bhai Bhupender Singh Hooda aur Chautala ne ghaat na maniye. Apne virodhiya ne minute ke hisab te lapet deve hai.. Recently jat Education society ke election hue hai.. Bhuppi ne apne halke aale Dharamvir Hooda(poorv pardhan) ki vote e katwa di.. lad lyo election!



Bhartiji, KD Singh is a businessman from Chandigarh who came to RajyaSabha with help from Jharkhand Mukti Morcha.

Brilliant idea for politicians to take and rule over the state after 2014 !

But what is in store for TMC led by Mamata Benerjee in Haryana?
 
इनको हार जीत से मतलब नहीं होता , यह सिर्फ इसलिए होता हैं की इंका वोट प्रतिशत बना रहे और एक राष्ट्रीय पार्टी बनी रहे ताकि उसमे ये चंदे के नाम से अपना काला धन एडजस्ट कर सके | इन लोगो को हर राज्य मे कोई न कोई एक ऐसा उम्मीदवार मिल ही जाता हैं जो अपने दम पर सीट निकाल लेता हैं और नाम इनके दल का हो जाता हैं | अब जैसे हाल ही मे उत्तर प्रदेश के माठ हल्के की सीट से इस तृणमूल कांग्रेस का जीता हैं , जबकि उस पंडित जी ने तो जीतना ही था उस सीट से यह पंडित जी हमेशा जीतते आए बस इस बार जयंत ने उसको हारा दिया था | जीता पंडित जी नाम हो गया तृणमूल कांग्रेस का | ऐसे ही हरियाणा मे शरद पवार की पार्टी से कोई न कोई विधायक बन ही जाता हैं |

You are right.

In our party system, there is no bar on formation of political parties and this is used by individual to make, break and ally their political outfits to one or the other existing parties. This has created a number of political parties at regional levels which have from time to time enjoyed the slice of power in conjugation with the 'national level parties' by helping them to form government at crucial times. So none can object to mushroom growth of political parties in any state including Haryana. TMC efforts could be understood in this context that next elections in the state give enough time to anyone to set up the party and organise the new party organisation.

ममता बनर्जी स "बाव्लि-खोद" .... निरी भावनात्मक लुगाई,..... जी राजी ते बेरा न के कर दे... एर ना तो निरा जेहर बगावे....पिछले कुछ सालों में उस ने जो भी करा स... उस से एक धारणा सी तो बन गयी की ममता घनी सी समझदार राजनीतिग कोणी... लठ के सौड़ बांधे हंडे स....... किते तुक्का लाग गया.... किते नहीं...... बुराई भी ली एर फेर वोट भी गेरी प्रणब की...... उस तें सयाणा तो शरद पवार स..... डंडा भी सरका दिया कांग्रेस के जब चाहवे.... एर पीसा भी चूसे स लगातार.... अपनी मर्जी तें कानून बनवावे स चीनी एर गन्ने के .....

शायद हरयाने में या नोर्थ इंडिया में भी न्यू इ भावना में आ के शुरू कर दिया सांग....... इसके बस की बात कोन्या..... वा ए बनेगी जो चौटाला जी गिल यू पी में बनी थी......! . कुछ इस kd सिंह ने लफोसे लगा दिए होंगे .......आक प्रधानमन्त्री बन जागी.... इस ने पद मिल गया... यो भी राजी एर "मोमता बोनर्जी" मैडम भी...
 
As far as i see it, Mamta has been a grass roots leader. Leader of the poor and women. In Haryana the women folk are understood to be poorly represented. No proper female leader with a national appeal. Also none from BJP or other parties (except Sonia) has tried to use this target group. So her step looks quiet well thought of. Also there could have been other political linkages which we are not aware of.

Yes..her statements after the Kolkata rape and molestation cases showed her leadership of women very well. :)
 
Many off-shoots of the Congress formed under the leadership of various politicians (don't prefer to call them leaders) like the NCP and the TMC on the plank of opposition to handing over the rein of the Grand Old Party (Congress) to a foreigner (Madam).

The irony is that these very parties and their heads now bow in front of the very same foreigner (madam) and ensure that madam is in power and her anti - people policies are implemented without any hindrance/obstacle.

So, despite her histrionics, I would consider the TMC head as a principle - less politician.

As far as her reason for entering Haryana and the nearby states is concerned and as rightly pointed out by someone here, it is the ever increasing migrant population from West Bengal, Bihar, Orissa and of course our friendly neighbourhood, Bangladesh.

I remember TMC and NCP being formed and its new leaders being extremely vocal about the fact that they left Congress since they couldnt see its being led by a foreigner. This was back in the late 90s when Congress was floundering having lost the elections to BJP and trying to persuade Sonia to take over the family ownership of the party after Sitaram Kesari had been removed. Pawar, Sangma and Mamta were the most voluble critics and lost no time in deriding the Congress. The real reason behind it was that they had leadership ambitions themselves and thought themselves (especially Pawar) to be the next Narasimha Raos of the Congress and potential PM candidates. But when Sonia took over, all those ambitions were sent crashing.

But cut to 5 years later and these off shoot parties of Congress came back flocking to their mother hen as LS pools loomed. The hunger for power and the game of politics made them forget the very basic founding principle of their party and they were ok with being led by a foreigner. So indeed all these politicians are cut from the same cloth.

कहते हैं कि इलैक्शन की नाव बिना पतवार चलती है, कुछ भी हो सकता है। एक बार चौ. देवीलाल ने रोहतक से m.p. का इलैक्शन लड़ा था (जिसमें भूपेन्द्र हुड्डा जीत गए थे, मुश्किल से तीन-चार हजार वोटों के अन्तर से)।

हर चुनाव में बहुत सारे उम्मीदवार खड़े होते हैं और दो-चार को छोड़ कर बाकियों का तो लोगों को नाम भी पता नहीं होता। उस चुनाव में एक बिहारी (नाम याद नहीं) ने भी पर्चा भर दिया (वह बिहारी रोहतक में ही कहीं रहता था)। जिस रोहतक हल्के में उसको कोई भी नहीं जानता था और एकाध वोट मुश्किल से मिलनी थी, उसमें उसको आठ हजार वोट मिले !

सुना है उस बिहारी ने इसका खूब फायदा उठाया। बाद बिहार में उसने एक जगह से m.l.a. का चुनाव भी लड़ा, पता नहीं हारा या जीता। बिहार में वोटरों के सामने डींग हांकता था कि देख लो, मुझे रोहतक से एम.पी. के चुनाव में 8000 वोट मिले थे !

पता है ऐसा क्यूं हुआ? उस रोहतक के चुनाव में चौ. देवीलाल का चुनाव चिन्ह था जलती हुई मशाल। और उस बिहारी को चुनाव निशान मिला था एक पत्तों वाली मूली। रोहतक के गांवों को बूढे लोगों को (जिनकी नजर कमजोर थी) एक मशाल और मूली में ज्यादा फरक नजर नहीं आया और देवीलाल की 'मशाल' पर मोहर लगाने की बजाय बिहारी की 'मूली' पर मोहर लगा दी !

इस घटना का पता चलने पर गांव के लोग कहते थे कि अगर यह बिहारी चुनाव में खड़ा नहीं होता तो चौ. देवीलाल के वोटों का नुकसान नहीं होता और भूपेन्द्र हुड्डा उस चुनाव में नहीं जीतता ।
