C for Congress, C for Corruption, C for Communalism and C for Crime

But instead of blaming the Gandhi dynasty shouldnt we be blaming ourselves for promoting them? Sonia Gandhi and whole family could have swept away if in 2004 people did not vote for Congress because that would have meant a signal of rejection.

People accept there fore they are. Same with Sule, Patels, Yadav's, Hooda's etc etc

P.S. by going what you said, we all should follow BSP for no heir?

US is a presidential system whereas India is westminster system. Still in westminister system, Indira ruled like a dictator during emergency. Power got inherited by generations over a long time. You won't find it in developed countries. Gandhi Dynasty is a professionally bad example for anyone to follow.

Dynasty pose a threat to democracy. Congress(Indira Gandhi) proved it in the past!!!I do not approve it. Not sure about people of India!!

Can one ever imagine BJP supporting any Congress policy and vice versa, like Romney did in these elections?

In UN , recently Advani supported NREGA in case you are not aware and eeb bera nhi tha to nyu na kahiye ki irrelevant baat hai ya sach nhi hai.

for other posts,ab tujhe relevant lagey vo baat main keh nhi sakta n jo main kehta hun vo tune sunni nhi hoti ya pta nhi hoti. eeb din mein agar ullu ko dikhta nhi to bhai isme suraj maharj ki kya galti hai.

n bhai tere andaaz-e-guptugu ravinderjeetbalhara bhai tain bhi puchi thi, ab vo hi nhi jawab de paye to main kya dun.

I'm done with you on this topic because i was looking forward to person who support an ideology not someone who support it blindly

In my opinion, no party is corruption free. Infact you will not find any institution in the country which is corruption free. BJP did not get enough time to show its colours. In my opinion its the system which make people corrupt. Too much power given to bureaucracts, lack of tranparency and complexity in doing business are few of the main reasons of corruption. I can't see anything in BJP manifesto or in any other party which provides any measures to tackle corruption. That is reforming the system, making it lesser complex and decentalization etc.

Parties like BJP are more busy in sensationalising the issue of corruption and causing disruption for public. Same goes with Baba Ramdev and others. Causing disruption or beating around the bush never help. Country needs measures like RTI not sensationalist news. People should support a party which propose reforms like RTI. Which will not only help in curbing corruption but also help in employing India's rising young population.

Atish, neither me nor anyone else is saying that BJP or for that matter any other party is corruption free.Yahan baat ho rahi thi the logic behind voting for congress after abhikrana's post n usme BJP ki orruption list dikha di lekin congressi list na dikhati, manne to dono bekar lagti hain , next election mein usse vote dunga jo Jat reservation dega atleast ek baar and thodi der mein yo desi mere thappa la dega BJP ka supporter ka. Iske hisab se jo congress k khilaf vo bjp ka supporter hai. khair leave it kyunki ab tak 19 page ho liye iss thread k n congress khatam na hui to aagey bhi na honi

Apart from individual candidates and their followings, I think the mentality or motivation behind voting for Congress can basically be trimmed down to these 2 or 3:

1. For people who are relatively out-of tune with politics/uneducated - the brand name. The brand name Gandhi and Congress have been around for some time; the latter even more so. Its relation with the freedom movement and the period immediately after that is indelible. The Gandhi name is still an icon in the minds of villagers who hardly know about the world. And this makes Congress an easy choice who don't know about the recent history - the scams, mismanagement etc.

2. Hindu liberals, especially in the urban middle class identify with the Congress due to its seemingly non-extremist stance, 1984 riots not withstanding. They still it as a logical alternative to right-wing BJP and its affiliates.

3. Due to similar reasons as point 2, most non-Hindus support Congress.

errr... dont endorse others, people might take an offense

Honestly I did not come across any of your post that supported this argument. All of your posts were either anti-congress or pro-bjp which implies one thing but if you insist here clearly I take your word.

Also, I am sure you read Moar's post on which party is more inclined towards Jats specifically in Haryana, if not I recommend a reading.

While this is true but not completely, if these were the criterions to vote Congress then party would not have done so well in urban cities where people understand policies.

Look at Delhi for instance, Congress swept all 7 Lok Sabha seats but lost badly in Municipal elections to BJP. Thus I believe another reason and a very important one is that people in cities are getting educated and form opinions on policies too.

Could be. But do you think there's a sunlight worth of gap between Congress and BJP's policies? I haven't compared their manifestos but going by the respective rules of NDA and UPA, I dont think there's a huge difference. And lets be honest; its the big corporates that run the show by influencing decisions and they hold sway over all political parties and alliances.

I think the result in Delhi could have simply been an anti-incumbency wave, a candidate preference or points 2 and 3 of my previous post.

BJP and Congress's policies are 2 faces of same coin with slight difference here and there for formality sake and it is in the benefit of country that they think of it first.

The difference that is worth observing and voting for is the team of people and style of governance and this is where it becomes very important for a party to present an excellent example of self governance, where BJP fails miserably.

As far as people voting for Congress is concerned, the Congress it seems hardly needs votes. It has through the various scams amassed huge wealth, both in India and outside. Come elections, they start horse-trading with that wealth.

An example, the present MLA from Gurgaon was an Independent candidate and people voted against Congress and he won. Yet Mr. Hooda while following the Congress policy (which it has mastered for the past so many decades) of muscle and money power to the last dot, influenced this MLA to join Congress and gave him a ministerial berth. Now he toes the line of the Congress and has put a picture of the revered Madam in his office in front of which he bows every morning before starting work.

So, where does the choice of the people or the mandate of the people come into picture?

Why does it take more than 1 - 1/2 months to count the Himachal Pradesh votes??? This delay despite there being electronic voting machines which enable collating and presenting the voting data within a few hours. To manipulate them as it has done in the past??

There were so many Congress candidates in Haryana in the last assembly elections vote counting who were trailing way-way behind their opponents and who then all of a sudden went on to win the seats. Thanks to the Manipulation of votes by the Congress Party with Election Commission being in its pocket.

Congress has to win either ways - HOOK or CROOK.

1) In Elections, they made a wrong choice and shall bear it

2) It is a wrong reason to blame, time to vote count is similar to all parties and if it is so true for Himachal then BJP should enjoy as it was their govt before

I thought of the same question when imm. counting in US was surprising me and I digged our system and the reason was simple. Voting in India needs heavy security and often elections take place in many steps and thus there is always a substantial time given to calm public emotions from elections and gather forces to ensure security.

Pointwise reply to your reply:

1. So, it is the people to blame and not the Congress which bought the MLA. Right, that is the easiest option always - Blame the people who voted against the Congress.

2. It is not a question of who enjoys. It is a question as to why is it taking that long to count votes in a small state like Himachal Pradesh?

Okay as per you, there would have been large scale violence in Himachal Pradesh if counting took place immediately and that is the reason that the Election Commission needs 1-1/2 months to arrange for the security forces in order to start counting. No sensible person is going to buy that argument.

Long live the wretched Congress party!!

Let me twist my words on last post and ask you a few questions:

If given a choice like Congress had, you think any other party would do any different?(Uttrakhand assemble can be an example)
If you were in place of Hooda, would you have done any different?

Also, it is ifs and buts without proof, could be true, could be not.

I mentioned the rational behind counting and election commission is an independent body, please dont tell me that you think Congress pays election commission to get dates of its choice.

But I am still clueless how much sense would a sensible person need to trade even before election results are announced?

The question of what I would have done is totally immaterial. I am not a politician and would never want to step into Hooda or Manmohan's shoes. I am the Mango Man (in the words of the respectable Robert ji). I have the power of vote, but so do others who just blindly vote for the wretched Congress.

An example of how the so-called Independent election commission works. During the last Uttar Pradesh assembly elections, just before the election dates were announced, the Congress in a very calculated and well-timed move announced reservations for muslims. How did it know about the election dates beforehand. Salman Khurshid despite objections from the EC during election campaigning kept on making the inflammatory announcements that even he were hanged, he would fight for reservations for Muslims. The EC was totally helpless and finally after the campaigning was over, Khurshid put in a mild written explanation/clarification (not a formal apology) to the election commission. Yes, the present EC is in the pocket of Congress. Gone are the days of T N Sheshan!!

I am still to receive a response from you as to why counting will take 1-1/2 months in Himachal Pradesh. How much violence has HP seen till date during elections? Is it not a peaceful state? Is it not a small state? Is it a war-torn state?
Does it take 1-1/2 month to arrange for security forces? The question still remains WHY SO LONG? But I am sure you will not have an answer to that as despite all the scams and wrongdoings CONGRESS WILL ALWAYS REMAIN THE HOLY COW FOR YOU.

I dont know what people are trying to say by blaming the election commission. At the end, what matters is the vote. People voted for Congress, hence it won. No amount of horse-trading or EC favoritism would have got it so many votes. If they don't like the Congress this time around, they wont vote. It is as simple as that.

Aisa hi hota hai bhai... jab election ke liye forces (pre-decided) arrange karni hoti hain... to sarkar ko 1-1/2 mahina lag jata hai... or jab gujarat mai 2-3 din tak riots (un-expected) nahi rukte to blame karte hain ki modi forces arrange kar ke riots avoid karwa sakta tha...

Here is so called independent Election commission. In Gujarat, anybody carrying more than Rs 2.5 lakh cash was needed to give proof of its source and purpose of its transport. Gujarat High Court stuck down the order.

http://www.business-standard.com/in...ement-unconstitutional-guj-high-court/492195/

Even, Election commission dismissed Dr. Swamy's petition seeking de-recognition of congress party without an hearing. It neither issued notice to congress nor asked Dr. Swamy to present his case.

That's real congress. It has installed sycophants in many institutions of the country. Governors of many states are also sycophants of Gandhi family. Media is subverted by congress. Situation is Assam is well known. All in all, democracy is at cross road with congress headed by Gandhi in power.

How is that bad? Isnt it good to avoid misuse of funds during elections? And if at all it was useful, it would be useful to opposition as Modi is confident of victory

Read what I wrote above, and you will have your answers.Like Swaich said, blaming an institution is making fun of electoral system and playing hard with the votes of people.

I am not an expert on electoral set up and only an EC official can better explain you the reasoning but what I know is, time after voting to counting has little to do with horse trading as nobody knows the future. What you are saying would have been true if EC made selective revelation of the result, but that is not the case. Would you put your money at stake before the result is out if you were a politician?

And if I were to go by your logic then Congress would have won all state elections by manipulating EC, please be a bit logical.
