I am no one to judge somebody neither qualified enough to advice somebody . Still request you to read once again what you have posted ( in reference to post 1260).
I am sure you are smart enough to understand what I am trying to say .

Rinku, my submission is that:

1. It was not a gospel truth when US denied visa to Shri Modi.

2. It was rather an insult inflicted not only on Shri Modi but the entire India by the US Govt. and it was not a matter of joy for any dignified Indian because he (Mr.Modi) had not been slapped with any indictment by any court of law by that time. The decision was highly unfair and humiliating.

3. I don't see any reason to be overjoyed now on this clemency so generously granted by the same administration that unfairly censured him.

4. In the past, US has issued certificates of legitimacy to some rogue states and the institutions like ISI and the Taliban also. For them their national interest is supreme and in pursuit of that they can hobnob with anyone irrespective of his/her credentials. At one point of time people like Saddam Hussein and Osama bin Laden have been their blue-eyed boys, when it suited their convenience. So, we should not get carried away by such certificates. Nor should we feel dampened by their censorship.

4. People of India should not be seeking legitimacy from the US Administration for selection of their Prime Ministerial candidate. In principle, sealing a deal by the US Congress should not be influencing the mature electorate. But this might have added to some hype and hoopla on social sites frequented by the urban elites and the budding citizenry.

5. Culling or killing of innocent people is reprehensible, be it in Delhi, Godhra, Kabul or Timbuktu and the powers that be cannot absolve themselves of their statutory as well as moral responsibility of protecting the innocent lives. If the name carnage is not appropriate it may be substituted by some other name but it will not diminish its brutality and intensity.

Hold on, read what i wrote, I dont give a rats ass if Modi goes to US or if he does not. If he becomes the PM(god forbid) He will go where ever he wants and all capitalist countries(US being one will endorse him) but that his not the point.

I was pointing out the hypocrisy of his supporters, like yourself who rejoice any endorsement that comes from the US and disregard US itself when they criticize him.


I am questioning the supporters hypocrisy not his capability to go to US or America's endorsement for Modi, which by the way is known to the world.

Yes US has right to allow or deny visa to individual like you and me but unfair because visa was denied(if at all it happned) to CM of state of sovereign nation not to an individual Narender Modi.

Same way when MP govt at the time(congress govt and digvijay as CM ) of riots didnt sent the police you took it in way modi was not able to maintain a relation that is why Mp govt didnt sent any troops. Why no one askDigvijay on what basis they didnt sent the troops and if modi is accountable then neighborhing state are also responsible if they didnt provide any help when requested. n ek baat aur jab apne hi ghar mein bhai mar rahe ho to relation dekhna tha kya ki opposition ka to nhi bhejna ?

Yudhisthir ne Mahabart mein kaha tha ki kaurav n pandav chahe kitni bhi baar aapas mein lade lekin agar koi bahar se aake hamla karega to usse dono ka saamna karna padega but this can never be understood by people who just think of vote bank politics.

You have a valid observation but I have 2 problems with it:

1) Why do we or same people who recommend Modi for Visa on these grounds cry bad when India hosts elected representatives of Pakistan? You can remember BJP and Modi supporters protests off late

2) It should not matter to US or any other country is elected or not, if the ideology does not match with the country and example can be given of N Korea/US diplomacy

टीवी-9 गुजराती को दिए गये आज (30.03.2013) इन्टरव्यू में अमेरिकी सांसदों ने पैसे देने की बात को बकवास और हास्यास्पद बताया।

उन्होंने कहा कि ये खबर प्रचारित करना विरोधियों की चाल हो सकती है, क्यों कि हम सभी सांसद रिपब्लिकन पार्टी से हैं।

मेरे ख्याल मोदी के परधान मंत्री बनने का एक ही तरीका बचा है । वो ये की - मोदी कांग्रेस में शामिल हो जाए, अन्यथा desijat का वोट उसको मिलेगा नहीं और वो PM बनेगा नहीं ।
The above is said in lighter vein. My opinion is - I don't think Modi will become a PM in next elections and BJP won't gain majority in Lok Sabha unless they brand Modi as PM in their election campaign. Haryana, Punjab me Modi ke naam pe vote lene asaan nahi honge.
