Pity the people who's feeling of pride in their country is dependent on a politician.
And pity the people who support a corrupt/communal/criminal dispensation which has made India not only a weakling in the league of nations but also a laughing stock.
With all the open loot happening in the Commonwealth Games splashed around in global media, Indians should have felt proud. Right. That's your definition of pride. Right.

You do know that the party/people you claim to support haven't really improved India's standing in the period that they ruled. Or they would have been re-elected. Neither of the Congress and BJP are particularly adept a managing the nation. History is testament to that. Now if you want to see a rosy picture because of one man, suit yourself.
I would not like to equate a plunderer with a petty thief. The 3C Congress has stayed in power for almost six decades and many a times it has been in absolute majority. Whereas the petty thief has been a power for almost six years and that too in coalition with very demanding partners.
As far as re-election of the Congress party in 2009 is concerned, we all know the large scale electoral manipulations that took place pre and post voting phase.
None of the Congress supporters has been able to satisfactorily answer as to why during the last assembly elections why counting and declaration of results was held back in HP for an unreasonable amount of time.

Something which is keeping you at odds with some fellow Jatlanders is your ruthless insistence that everybody must support the candidate of your choice as PM without raising an eyebrow. So the debate is not just about the change, it is also about finding the better alternative. Here lies the problem. Your choice boiling down to just one individual rather than to a party has raised some eyebrows as it refutes the very concept of pluralism. In a fit of anger, you tag your opponents with a corrupt regime without any substantive evidence of their being supportive of it or any other corrupt political party. It is very much against the spirit of inclusive democracy. You are entitled to your opinion without facing any unwarranted sarcasm and so are others. Let us shed acrimony and ill-will against each other and concentrate on relevant points only while avoiding baseless allegations and being cynical about each other.

With all the gargantuan scams in the open, you still need PROOF and call any reference to them as baseless. I would say its YOUR ruthless insistence that no matter what the Congress indulges in, it would be your party of choice (or at least that's what you make it out to be through your posts/opinions).
Modi would not run the govt. alone. He would be assisted by a council of ministers who are tall leaders and statesmen and stateswomen. IF YOU DO NOT LIKE THIS FACT OR THEIR IMMINENT COMING TO POWER, IT'S YOUR PROBLEM.
Finally, if you take my criticism of the Congress' loot and communal politics personally, I am not responsible for it. And by the way, I didn't know that you were representing others on these forums when you referred to them and wrote on their behalf.

Oh no no! Abhik, you have grossly misunderstood. I am talking of the proof of someone being a supporter of the corrupt regime. This was not to defend any party or regime. Hope you got it right now.
