भोजन के अधिकार से पहले 'पिंजरे के तोते' को मुक्त करने की आवश्यकता है। जिससे कि घोटालों से पर्दा उठ सके और लूट के पैसे से निर्धनों के लिए सुविधाएं जुटाई जा सकें। रुपये के गिरते मूल्य से कंगाल अर्थव्यवस्था भोजन के अधिकार की गारंटी भला कैसे दे सकता है?

इस कौम से लोग यूं ही पर्ले दर्जे की नफरत नहीं करते हैं। because we sincerely deserve it. जाने किस बात की मरोड़ है हम लोगों में? जिस कौम में दूसरों को आदर देना, उसकी चापलूसी करना समझा जाता है, वो इससे भी बदतर स्थिति को deserve करती है। बाप से बेहतर बंटवारा पंचायत करे, इस बात पर कौम फूली ना समाई फिरती हो, तो कम से कम मेरे तो यह समझ से परे की बात है। जिस कौम में समझदारी भरी बातें करने का विशेषाधिकार 60 साल से ऊपर के ही आदमी को हो, तो कम से कम मेरे तो यह समझ से परे की बात है।
इस वैबसाइट पर पोस्टेड पचास फीसदी से ज़्यादा बहस इसी तरीके से अपनी परिणति को पाती हैं। हमारे खून में ही गड़बड़ है, इसमें कोई बुरा माने तो सौ बार माने। जो कौम सुनना नहीं जानती, वह लिखना, पढ़ना, बोलना सीख जाए - यह हो ही नहीं सकता। एक को दूसरे से यूं दिक्कत है कि उसे कुछ नहीं आता, एक को दूसरे से यूं भी दिक्कत है कि उसे इतना क्यूँ आता है। किसी को इस बात से तकलीफ है कि वह अँग्रेजी में क्यूँ लिखता है, किसी को इस बात से भी दिक्कत है कि वह अँग्रेजी में इतना बढ़िया क्यूँ लिखता है। किस कारण यह कौम गर्व करने लायक है, कोई एक कारण तो बताए? बहादुर - बहादुर कह कर तुमसे अपने घरों की रखवाली करवाते रहे हैं, मरवाते रहे हैं। मैं भी आपकी तरह ये मानता हूँ कि ये गर्व की बात है। लेकिन यह केवलमात्र हमारी ही ज़िम्मेदारी नहीं है। हम भी पेट भरने के लिए रोजगार में विकल्पों को परख सकते हैं। लेकिन यह संभव नहीं है - क्योंकि हम वास्तव में इस लायक नहीं हैं। हम सिर्फ़ पुलिस, फ़ौज, ड्राइवर के ही लायक हैं? हो सकता है कि मैं सौ फीसदी तक भी गलत होऊं लेकिन दुर्भाग्य से अपना अनुभव तो यही है दोस्तो।
हुड्डा - चौटाला, मोदी - राहुल, शैलजा - भुक्कल> इन्हीं में उलझते रहना ही हमारी दिनचर्या हैं। मजे की बात ये है कि हमारी बहस का विषय नकारात्मक रूप से वही होता है जो बहस का विषय होना ही नहीं चाहिए। वे लोग सभी एक हैं। धनवान की अपनी एक अलग जात होती है। उनमें जाट, पंजाबी, ब्राह्मण, बानिया अथवा दलित नहीं होता।
अगर हम किसी से असहमत हैं तो एक बार की प्रतिक्रिया ही काफी है। इस प्लेटफॉर्म पर अगर साल-छह महीनों में आओ और उस आने पर भी आपको वही माहौल मिले जो आप छह महीने पहले छोड़ कर गए हो, तो स्थिति निराशाजनक ही है।
माफ कीजिएगा अगर किसी को तकलीफ पहुंची हो।

बहुत अच्छा, साहसपूर्ण और बेबाक लेख है और शायरी तो आपकी हमेशां ही उम्दा होती है, बेशक वो किसी और शायर की लिखी हो परन्तु आपकी पसंद की दाद देनी पड़ेगी i ऐसा ही लिखते रहिये और अपने दो टूक जवाबों से औरों को भी हौसला देते रहिये i

Instead of a highly impracticable and irrational food security bill, few of the things that will actually go a long way to help in ensuring food security would be as follows:

1. Strengthening the already existing Public Distribution, increasing transparency, capping the leaks and a swift reddressal mechanism in case of any grievance.
2. Check and Control by the govt. over the food, vegetable and fruit traders/vendors. Swift and harsh punishment to hoarders and blackmarketeers.
3. Check food adulteration.
4. Setting up community kitchens for the actually poor at various locations across towns/cities/villages. Increasing awareness amongst the masses about this.
5. Stopping export and futures trading of essential commodities. Setting up direct shops/mandis/cooperatives by the farmers in accessible and prominent locations across towns/cities/Villages thereby making the traders/middlemen redundant to a large extent.
6. Judicious use of rich and fertile agricultural land thereby saving it from land sharks/builder lobby because with increasing population country is going to need more land to grow food.

All of the above points are very much achievable and doable. The only thing required is will power on part of the Congress govt. to STOP acting as commission agents for everything and anything. Very similar to Zardari of Pakistan who is known as the Mr. 10 percent man.

Thousands of bags of wheat belonging to the Haryana Agro Industries Corporation have been found rotting in the rain in an open plinth of the corporation at Ratia.
Officials of the corporation woke from their slumber when Ratia MLA Jarnail Singh, who is also the Chairman of the Haryana Agro Industries Corporation, made a surprise visit to the storehouse.
Finding large quantities of wheat exposed to rain in the open, some local residents first brought this to the notice of the officials of the corporation and when they remained unmoved, people informed the MLA about it. Singh made a surprise visit to the storehouse of the corporation and after taking a few grains of the wheat in his hands, he said, “This wheat is no more fit for human consumption.”
“I have summoned a complete report of the quantity of wheat damaged due to rain and will initiate suitable action once the report comes,” Jarnail Singh said.
He said he would see to it that liability for the damage was fixed and the officials responsible for causing loss to the government were made to pay for it.
The open plinth of the corporation has a capacity of 10,000 tonnes and at present, nearly 5,500 tonnes (1.10 lakh bags) of wheat were lying there, the MLA said. When Jarnail Singh visited the plinth, the damaged wheat was being repacked in bags for its transportation to the public distribution system.
The MLA, however, stopped the exercise till he received a report on the damage.
Pritam Singh, District Manager of the corporation at Fatehabad, said the wheat in question was two to three years old - it was a stock from 2011-12 purchases.
“Since, it is a storehouse of old “farh” wheat grains in the lower bags of the stacks are generally affected by rainwater,” he maintained.He said the exact damage would be known only after the local officials prepare a report.

What Anil is saying is also correct. Jab baniye ko depot wale se kam paiso me anaaj mil jayega to wo kisaan ki fasal sarkari daam me kyu khareedega? Majburi me kisaan ko sarkari rate se kam me anaj bech kar jana padega ya fir usko fekna padega jaise aajkal aloo fenke jaa rahe hai. Food security bill is nothing but a mere vote bank tactic.
If Chattishgarh is doing good in PDS then center should learn and apply same thing every where. Why unnecessarily increase subsidy burden and then hamper economy?

In Chattisgarh the farmers are not dying of hunger and system is perfect that there is no leakage.

I agree, govt should adopt that model across India but that is only if BJP debates the bill in parliament instead of stalling it. It will only go in their favor that this govt will adopt their model.

I believe no system can be perfect. Only thing is, it may be the best model available as of now. Chor-bajaari to hogi par dusri jagah se kam.
Lets hope opposition(including BJP) doesn't dilute the monsoon session like they did previously.

In Jan Feb 2013 there was heavy rain in Haryana & Wheat crop was totally damaged. Photo of Govt godown are put here , what about the photo of that rotten crop at lying in farmers field. Please think of that also. That is much more in quantity than this but nobody think of that. and loss is only for farmer.
