It was not an attack but I doubted by seeing all the posts from Desijaat.... What is our major concern here the loss of life and esteem of our brothers or the concern is Narendra Modi ... Why to drag him and take the discussion to political terms only. SP is in power in UP and Congress in India so they both are accountable. If they think that there is any hand of BJP members sue them arrest them confiscate them and book them. They are not powerful than state & union govt. Just to malign the image people keep blabbering BJP...BJP . But I know it is still hard to make everyone understand. For ex, the gathering which happened in Khala par on 30th witnessed all the muslim leaders across the party lines together on stage and giving sermons . But when a mahapanchayat called on 7th was there anyone from SP/BSP/Congress/RLD ... it was only BJP even if people say for political gains.
It is absolutely true that the onus of maintaining law and order lies on the head of the powers that be and it is pointless to pass on the blame on the opposition parties. (Opposition cannot be held responsible for mishandling of the case of the killing of two Jat boys and the Jolly Canal carnage which are said to have triggered the communal riots according to DNA India
http://www.dnaindia.com/india/18880...al-killings-triggered-the-muzaffarnagar-riots ). However, the role of some opposition parties also has been dubious in pursuit of narrow sectarian gains. It is a common knowledge that for easy political gains the political parties in India can stoop to any level. Therefore, to expect a responsible behaviour from the opposition is sheer foolishness. This is characteristic of almost all the Indian Political Parties to capitalise on the flash points, especially during communally charged atmosphere. Moreover, the time is opportune for them as the election time is drawing nearer.
As for the argument that only BJP attended the Mahapanchayat, it is my opinion that Mahapanchayats can deliver only if these are apolitical in character and formation. The moment any political party hijacks any particular Panchayat, it is obvious other parties will refrain from it. It is in the best interest of our community if we do not let ourselves hijacked and used as a commodity by any political party. Our Panchayats/Khaps have an important role to play in the circumstances.
Some young chaps have been castigating all those who are not falling in line with them to support one particular individual or party. They have gone to the extent of hurling abuses and derogatory language against their own brothers. Ironically, they do not tire of talking about Jat unity, inspite of their vitriolic frothing and strident rhetoric of supporting only one individual.
As Rajpal Ji, Samar and some other respected members have flagged the need of support to the victims of this mindless violence, we must concentrate on that only. The important issue here is how to prevent such kind of unfortunate incidents in future. How to forge a united front to save the dignity of our community while keeping the political opportunists at bay? Politics we discuss separately, later on. How our organisations can be made more effective and representative assumes greater importance at this juncture.
