Assembly Elections- Oct.2013 in Delhi/Rajasthan/M.P/Chhatisgarh::Chatpati Discussions

Vikas, it is the integrity that matters more than the academic credentials. This party has some very honest and sincere workers of grass root level who understand the problems of common man better than those highly qualified politicians who are facing charges of corruption. I think, a fresh air is needed and given the opportunity these grass root people can make a difference for the better.

Agree Sir. For a change, we have a triangular tussle in Delhi which was so dominated by two parties. AAP candidates might not be "IITians", but they have given hope to perform better (if they get elected) as opposed to other two parties in the fray.

Everyone is hopeful of the same, but what is discussed here is bit different from ground reality. Tough everything is fare in love n war so in politics, if you minutely see there is not much difference between the 3 parties when it comes to candidate selection. Everybody wants to win, so does AAP, but most of their candidates are those who didn't get tickets from the congress or the BJP. Rest things will be more clear post poll results.

Right, That is why I don't criticize AAP for all these reasons because almost all three are same in Delhi when choosing their candidates. But I must admit in history of India AAP is the first party which gained so much so quickly and it's the only party which learned cheapest tactics (Pseudo-Secularism & muslim appeasement ) of Indian political system so quickly.

I use to think Kejriwal is a man of substance, but over a period of time I can see change in his talks and behavior. These days he often eludes question, earlier he use to be eloquent on every issue. Things change when enter politics, we can see change in him.

Formal invitation sent to CM of delhi by Kejriwal, may ask Harshwardhan too but upon confirmation by the sitting CM. This is going to be interesting if it happens.

A group of jat leaders wrote to BJP delhi, agenda was to join hands with BJP after muzzafarnagar roits and about their concern of negligence of jat leaders in the area. 12/19 seats of jat dominant areas were with BJP, when Late Sahib singh varma was the CM, now it has reduced to 6/19

Not sure about Chhatisgarh but Delhi is one hell of an interesting battle. AAP's rise is phenomenal as of now among masses.
True, but would it be fruitful for Delhi? Not sure of all seats but on few seats I knw the candidates chosen are even worse than ones from the congress and the BJP

Would be fruitful or not but surely its going to give a lot of swad here in the coming month. ;)

Weak candidates is the biggest issue for AAP. Its not that easy to win seats just from the popularity of one person.

I think its more of hype by media which has been created around AK. If we look back at history.. Bansilal with a such a stellar development track record was able to win only 7 seats when he fought election first time under Haryana Vikas party banner. But you never know as educated city folks are more gullible than dehati adami. Urban dewellers live more in fantasy world while rural folks are more close to reality so anything can happen.

Except one, all of AAP candidates are contesting election first time. How would they make it? Being honest does not get many votes. There are many factors involved. Caste, Religion, Personal Benefits, strong hold of already established parties to name a few. Arvind is a very new to politics. He has a long way to go. Getting couple of seats would be phenomenal!

I am not saying that he will make a huge impact..on contrary I find him farzi. People of Ukalana Mandi were brighter than the educated crowd of Delhi who called his bluff at height of Anna movement when he was campaigning for Kuldeep Bishnoi. He has thrown Anna out of Anna's movement. His mentor Aruna Roy is from Sonia's famed NAC team. He was calling Batla House encounter fake. Being an educated fellow I was expecting better policies for governance but you hear nothing other than lokpal and it will eliminate corruption. And still in news you get that he will get 20% vote share or 10-20 seats. So either Delhi's educated crowd is fool or it is just a media hype.

Well summarized!! But if you look at the candidate selection, all the factors you mentioned are well taken care of :)
