Come on gentlemen! arugment cannot be for argument's sake. I have no meaner things to say all I am telling you is that stay off from taking sides. I don't side with HAMAS (but certainly with the civilian population which is dying), and encourage you to come true to the situation by staying off Israel. After all, invoking Lord Krishna means the same, don't take the side of the Adharma it shall boomrang into us at some later stage.

Au revoir!

My final take. Go back to Indian war rules when wars were fought from sun rise to sun set and away from populated areas in barren fields. There were well laid down war rules and most Indian kings followed them. Then came Islamic invasions. Invaders had their own rules and freely butchered the civilians and looted temple valuables, imprisoned men and women, enslaved them. These practices were unthinkable in India. As a result we lost those wars and result was the foreign rule for many centuries. What does one do in a situation like this when rules of the game are different for the warring sides ? Anyway... We have contrary views on the subject and I am quite comfortable with my views.

What next ????? This has been the basis of all wars I suppose ? So, settle it all in the battlefields like this always have been the case. Whoever wins in battlefield, is right.

Very true. Actually which kind of viewpoints one has, that is highly affected by the circumstances. For example suppose some person honors a particular community and you not. There might be some particular reasons behind that. That person may have some relative or close friend or partner from particular community. You may have some enemy from that particular community. In such a case that person will not buy your argument whatever logic you give. So I think it's all about circumstances one has been through. As you must know when revolutionaries were sacrificing their lives for the freedom of the country, many Indians were against them and they gave tip offs to the Brits. Many revolutionaries got killed because of it. So those people had their own logics. Last and final decision is settled in battlefield. You said right.

.........Last and final decision is settled in battlefield.......

Battlefields were fond places for all our ancestors to settle things only to find that victory is no guarantee to self-perceived strengths. A society which is based on dicriminatory caste system has so much internal weaknesses that to give a call for battle is supine argument.

ummm... Learn from Hamas who follow the War Rule book reveled by Allah through his last messenger.

If you cannot rise above bi-partisan thinking then....Well no harm, afterall Shivaji excelled in similar tactics of guerilla warfare. He used rockets against the Mughals...or even Tipu Sultan who had defeated the European army with his superior rocketry corps.

Israel would not hesitate to sell its arms technology to Pakistan (obvisouly it would hurt India) if that suits its interest.
I conclude myself with the inference that there is nothing to learn from Israel so far as national security is concerned. We have to rely on our own experiences and look for our own model of security instead of this ghastly approach taken by Israel.

This needs to be condemned in the strongest terms. It is unfortunate that Palestinians have to suffer so much for the follies of HAMAS.

Let us count how many condemn Hamas. Starting with the people(Palestinians) who suffered most by their actions ?

Sorry dear you got it wrong, I condemned the act not the HAMAS. The news which has been referred to

says that "appeared to confirm" this means that HAMAS has not owned the act, so let's wait if there is concrete proof of HAMAS being guilty. But, yes, it does not stop from condemning the act which has led to total devastation of the region.

They executed 18 suspected informers. You can see what kind of democratically elected govt it is . Do you condemn this act too ?
If yes how many more before you start condemning themselves, not just their acts.

You are missing the point. Whether HAMAS is good or bad, it is the prerogative of the Palestinians to judge. Why chipping ourselves into it, there is no point. HAMAS has political connections with many governments too, just like the LTTE. You can go through the following wikileak so see how India deals with both Israel and HAMAS.....it is no simple game.....http://www.thehindu.com/news/the-in...ions-with-israel-and-hamas/article1539484.ece

okay. what you say ? HAMAS is right or wrong for Israel citizens as well as Palastinians ? Please be objective.

I suppose same should apply to Israel also. What Israel is doing should be for Israelis to judge and not the self appointed class room brigade. Why all these arguments and counter arguments here.

You seem to be a justice loving person, whose religion is humanity. Well what is your justice on it :

We Indians worked hard a lot and gathered tons of gold in our temples. We were richest country in the world known as 'sone ki chidiya'. Then some Muslims wolves invaded our land and not only looted our gold, but enslaved us for centuries, butchered us, raped our women, forced us to convert and did all the tyrannies they could do. Well then European wolves came and enslaved us for next many centuries. What was our fault? Where were apostles of justice like you then? We somehow got partial freedom. Now we have no danger, it is not so. We have not only Pakistani, Chinese and Bangladeshi wolves around, but a particular community within our country too which is busy in love jehad, conversion and alike practices to eliminate us. Your religion is humanity, so you don't care if in coming time you are forced to convert to a particular religion, but many people will not accept it. It will hurt self respect. So what is your justice?
And take it as an advice. A particular community will take you as a Hindu as you have Hindu name and in many riot hit areas they shot dead many people after they knew their Hindu names. So have such a name, which belongs to no particular religion, if you really are just a human.
