CONGRESS LIST FOR HARYANA ASSEMBLY ELECTIONS

The Congress has retained majority of its 44 sitting MLAs as candidates for the Assembly polls in Haryana, denying tickets to only two — Zile Ram Sharma and Sharda Rathore — facing charges of murder and indiscipline, respectively.

Three other seats where sitting MLAs haven't been given tickets are the ones where the legislators requested for their wards or relatives to be fielded. These seats are Pehowa where Mandeep Chattha, son of Finance Minister HS Chattha, has been named the Congress candidate; Panipat Rural from where sitting MLA Balbir Shah declined to contest paving the way for the candidature of his brother Virender Shah; and Badshahpur from where sitting MLA Rao Dharampal's son Virender has been fielded.

The Congress has largely managed to refrain from nepotism this time by giving only one ticket in one family. The party denied the ticket to Chiranjeevi Yadav, son of Irrigation Minister Capt Ajay Yadav, who is contesting from Rewari.

...............All six Congress MLAs in the CLU CD row have been re-nominated with the Congress trashing the CDs as INLD's move to weaken the Congress base in Sirsa and Hisar areas. These MLAs include Ram Kishen Fauji.

thats a pretty sad situation....steps should be taken to improve sex ratio.....awareness is only solution...

voting should be on basis of leadership qualities ,policies beneficial to the community and candidate ...

how do members view this list....as per news hooda sahab has been able to get candidates of his choice

Even Ashok Tanwar, President, HPCC, has expressed his displeasure on the list. Those aspirants who have been denied chance to contest are sulking, some of them even declaring open revolt against the Party.

Arjun Singh from Jagadhri got nomination from Kuldeep Bishnoi.

Jai Prakash former MP has jumped into fray from Kalayat as independent.

Likewise news are pouring out of revolt from various corners of the State against Congress.

Jats have got considerable representation in the list allege non-Jats in the Congress.

O.P chautala jayega aaj jind------dekho kya bolega

Yes, he, in the presence of many leaders including HD Devegoda, PS Badal, Sharad Yadav, KC Tyagi, Shiv Pal Singh Yadav, Nitish Kumar and many others addressed the people of Haryana gathered at Jind on the 100th Birth Anniversary of Jan Nayak Chaudhary Devi Lal. Read the 'breaking news' from the Tribune, Chandigarh :

Chautala hits out at Cong, vows to take oath from Tihar jail

JIND (Haryana): Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) supremo Om Prakash Chautala today hit out at the Congress for sending him to prison to crush his party's struggle and vowed he will take oath as Chief Minister from Tihar jail.

"I was put behind bars due to wrong policies (of Congress) and its wishful thinking that it will end the struggle of the INLD. Rather, in my absence the party has strengthened," the 79-year-old Jat leader, who is behind bars after being convicted for ten years along with others in a teachers recruitment scandal, said here.

Chautala is presently out on bail on health grounds. He and his son Ajay have been sentenced to 10-year prison term after being found guilty in a teacher recruitment scam, while others in the case have been awarded varying jail terms.

Addressing a rally here in the Jat heartland organised to mark the 100th birth anniversary of late Deputy Prime Minister Devi Lal, also popular as messiah of farmers, Chautala told the gathering that "your presence in large numbers here has obliterated the wishful thinking of the Congress."

Taking a dig at his opponents for claiming that he will not be able to return to public life, Chautala asked his workers not to get afraid and asserted that he will become the next Chief Minister.

"I will take oath as CM from Tihar jail," he said, exuding confidence that the INLD had been strengthened in his absence.

Chautala, who appeared for the first time in a public meeting after his conviction in the JBT scandal in February last year, said he was not afraid of jail.

"I am not afraid of jail ... the government sent me to prison by projecting me as a criminal," he said.

"The day I was born, my father Devi Lal was in jail ... I spent time in jail for the cause of farmers, employees and also during the days of Emergency," he said.

Chautala said he was not greedy for power. "INLD's only aim is to end mis-governance of the Congress," he said. — PTI

If that is true... then Jats may feel solace and happy and may re-think / consolidate to support Hooda........

If that is true... then Jats may feel solace and happy and may re-think / consolidate to support Hooda........

Hooda obliterated purity of recruitment process & sanctity of Haryanvi Agriculture land and her farmers.

If still want to vote this figure its one's wish.....

Government in dono cheejo ke alawa kuch bura nahin kar sakti...........Job ARR Jamin ...........Loot ke kha gya.........kise ke haq ki .............kise te

Many Jaat candidates.

If that is true... then Jats may feel solace and happy and may re-think / consolidate to support Hooda........

This is easy to say but difficult to implement the slogan to consolidate to support any single Jat leader at the present juncture.

BJP, Congress and INLD ---all three major parties have given adequate representation to the Jats; this has put the community in a dilemma as whom to elect to represent their community view point.

Under the circumstances, it is feared that other community candidates may take advantage of the divided Jats.

It is also likely that in individual constituencies, the best candidate among the Jat contestants irrespective of their party affiliation could manage to attract maximum votes of the community in their individual capacity.

As of today, the picture is quite unclear as regards stand of the Jat community reposing their faith towards any one of the leaders/parties is concerned.

Let us wait and see which way the wind blows in the next three weeks i.e. by 15th October, the voting day in Haryana.

Does any body know about BJP condidate from Beri Constituency? I believe, one of our Jatlander Sumit Dalal, who contested as an independent candidate was in line to get BJP ticket!
Till recently Sumit worked as Asst. Professor in law department of Delhi University! A very 2 promising young jat leader sumit is good orator and very popular among the young voters of Beri constituency! I believe he can be a formidable candidate who can win this seat for BJP that could be difficult in Rohtak district.

Cheers!
